  1. Presumably he has to agree when players leave ?
  2. And what happened to Puncheon ? Didn't we sell him - for less than £2Mill ?
  3. Let's wait until the transfer window closes and assess how we stand from there.
  4. And how do you know they didn't, or that RK looked at it, altered it ( adding Pelle, Tadic, and possibly more ), and passed it back ?
  5. And if that is how they feel, what will the fans do about it ?
  6. 5 weeks to go yet.
  7. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-28481996 " Since 2008, the population has grown by more than 2.5 million and the number of people in work has gone up by 1.1 million. That means that while GDP has returned to its pre-crisis level, GDP per head and GDP per worker are still well below that level, which means that productivity is also down. Lower productivity is reflected in a fall of about 9% in average earnings since 2008, adjusted for inflation" "The income of the median household (that's the household for which half of households have a higher income and half have a lower one) has fallen by about £20 per week, after adjusting for inflation, since 2008. The household at the 90th percentile (that's the one for which only 10% of households have a higher income) has seen its income fall by about £60 a week. At the other end of the spectrum, the household at the 10th percentile has seen a £2 per week increase"
  8. " I believe that in 2 weeks, we will have made some good signings, sold Lovren for an superb profit, and hopefully Morgan will be impressed enough by our new recruits to stick around."
  9. The First Great Train Robbery
  10. If the Don were still at Saints then any player saying 'my head is in Liverpool' would likely get the response 'Where do you want the rest of your body buried ?'.
  11. They could easily lose their new manager before the end of the week, that would be a shorter tenure than Appy managed at Bloomfield Road, and mean that he would have managed 0 competitive matches.
  12. This. How many did we sell in the last 7 days ?
  13. Liverpool and Manchester United have offered 3 of our players wages and fees that we would be unable to get anywhere near. Yes they were sold, but how on Earth were Saints to hang on to AL & LS and keep them sweet ? Would you rather we had refused to let them go and left something malignant gnawing at the spirit of the team ?
  14. And we could, potentially, have lost all those we are going to, and brought in 5 or 6 to strengthen the squad. It's all speculation, and we ( for some reason ) are the current target for lazy journos.
  15. My son's Grammar has had to become an Academy to survive - still keeps itself as a boys only selective entry school however. I agree with you, I cannot understand why Grammars are so unacceptable to the Educational theorists.
  16. So, like me, you're married to a lazy arrogant, patronising Trotskyite !
  17. Your 'small sample group' is perfectly reflective of the consensus view.
  18. Referring to the educational establishment as 'the Blob' didn't endear him to teaching staff across the entire scope of the profession. The issue with reform in education is that every year brings something new, and quite often a complete change of direction at a whim, or based on the latest Ivory Tower generated theory. Neither of the major parties has had the balls / gumption to actually leave well alone for a couple of years to allow time for a change to fully percolate and take effect. Education is such a high profile portfolio that they have to be seen to be doing something. Michael Gove's greatest achievement was to manage to unite all teaching and FE/HE unions in their attitude toward central Government.
  19. Michael Gove on his first day as Chief Whip got stuck in a toilet. Shame they got him out, he'd finally found his spiritual home.
  20. And you sir are a kingsize tw @t.
  21. Link ? Source ? Complete fabrication ?
  22. If you add Gaston, Morgan, and Graziano to our squad list, does it look better ?
  23. For the "effect of ownership" on a football club, take a look at Blackpool. In their Premier League season the club paid £11million pounds to Owen Oyston, the father of their chairman. Now, having avoided relegation last season, they currently have only 8 registered players, with no goalkeeper - 27 players left in the close season. They have cancelled their pre season tour because they cannot put out a team, ( they are suggesting that they might compensate fans who had booked travel to watch them ), and if they do manage to recruit enough to put 11 on the pitch, it is likely that they will have just 1 'friendly', ( in quotes as it's against Burnley ), before they kick off the new season away to Notts Forest.
  24. Are you sure that you really are the Bear ? No 'bro', no 'lolz', just a simple, intelligent, put down.
  25. Gove has been moved on in the reshuffle WOOT !!!
