Do you think players get advised not to look on this forum?

Always very depressing and negative comments on here. Guess that's what the internet is for but can't help thinking it would completely ruin their confidence if they came on here and searched for their name. -
wow, well I don't think Milner will get a look on Tuesday after that.

More fans doesn't always mean more money for the club. What I'm trying to say if with all events like this they don't just pull a round figure and say let's charge that. If they lowered if by £8 would that many more people go? £8 for one person is hardly anything now. Wouldn't even get you a packet of Marlboro's finest.

Yeah I can agree with what you're saying here and a good cup run is essentially a bonus for any club as it's unexpected income but at the start of the season they'd look at costs and decide a percentage of ticket sales goes to cover them. They wouldn't change the model just to be nice to fans, that's where they're earning the extra bonus in free cash from the extra fixtures.

Yes, VAT would all come in the wash anyway. Unless we still had Harry. Yeah but we need to play players some of the cash would be offset against the pot that comes from. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

I think Lambert starting tonight is a bad thing, adds to the pressure for expectation from his last game. Would have preferred to see him as an impact player. He should have kept his record of striker with number of goals per minute played. Really hope he proves me wrong!!

Think everyone is missing the point here of what the club is there for........to make money. The club has a Business Manager who's job it is to ensure that each game makes expected profit etc. I'm pulling figures out of the air here and haven't got a clue how near they may or may not be. The club is expecting 10,000 at £18 a pop....£180,000 So lets say that 25% of that goes to player wages - £4.50 Per ticket £1 per Ticket to print and send out £0.50p for policing and stewarding So that get's us up to £6 per ticket, I'm sure there's other costs involved but what I'm trying to point out is there are running costs of a club and putting on an event. (Trying to keep this simple here) So as it stands at £6 costs per ticket and selling for £18. On that the club would stand to make £120000 If ticket prices lowered to £10 the it would be £4 Profit £40000 That's a third of the profit..... Do you think we'd sell 3 x as many ticket (30,000) if the price was dropped to £10......No, not a chance. The business manager has lots of data about how much we can afford and what we're likely to pay etc and they then analysis to get as much as possible from us. You will also get those fans who are loyal and don't mind paying that type of money, then there's the walk ups on the day as it's something to do at the time.

I also got a call form them today as the system allowed me to purchase 2 tickets under one number so they wanted to refund one of them. The woman (Heather) explained that can only buy one ticket under each number so I gave her a friends number which was fine. I asked about this situation at the same time and they said it would be fine to keep as a childs ticket if you provide them with another childs season ticket number. It's all a bit of a ball ache but at least it does keep it fair for everyone.

And by the looks of things is probably a Traffic Warden in his day job.

London property prices?

and how much do they charge for tickets??

I blame MP myself, ever since he arrived bringing in all these signings on high wages they've had to watch the money. The reason it's different is that Liverpool had a very low cost of child tickets compared to adult cost (nice of them to do that). Saints will have to show Liverpool the amount of tickets sold and which numbers against. The club would be held accountable for people purchasing the wrong types of tickets. Why don't you purchase it under his child season ticket number? If he doesn't have one then he shouldn't have the privilege of being able to buy a childs ticket at the early release to season ticket holders. Complaining about this is almost the same as me saying I've paid more for ticket so I should be allowed extra room.

Never been to a Brighton game? That was a great day at St Mary's, shocking penalty decision and then a sending off. What about we can see you holding hands?

Only the club can measure wether it was a good idea to do this, I'm sure that will even and a hard job. It cost next to nothing to change these seats. By doing this everyone will take note and there's a good chance that a lot of you will look up that hash tag. For the people who don't use twitter and are saints fan, then there's a good chance that this will be one of the first things they look at. If you haven't look at saints on twitter yet, then do. We have an excellent pr team. As for him not being on 100k a year, I'm pretty sure he will be. Twitter is the easiest way to get news out to supporters instantly. No uploading onto the website or waiting for reporters. Did you see all of the videos from pre season training? They were up straight away. There was a club in the morning session of shaw and clyne? Both going in for a challenge. It was uploaded straight away asking the fans wether or not they thought it was a foul. This is great pr and interacting with our younger fans with the technology they expect and are used to in every day life's. Not like back in the day when phones weren't needed. It even had both the players replying to fans and having a laugh. The club is investing on marketing departments. I saw they were advertising for more members soon. I personally think this is great, they've looked at the bigger picture and the plan of how to bring the supports, players and whole club together instead selling then for a nominal amount to a company. Maybe they should have put aap3? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

Anyone have a negative point about this? I can only think of lots of benefits to the club. I guess someone must be really ****ed off that they're going to turn up and see a white seat instead of the usual red one.

Brighton have over 23,000 st holders! Anyone know how many we have?. One of the great things for them is being sponsored by Amex. Interest free pay monthly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

Puncheon to Palace - Official (Season Loan)
ashleyb5443 replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Remembered for the goal at Chelsea...... For me it will be man city and then wiping his arse on the corner flag. Lots of good comments about him on here. Remember he wasn't the best performer or behaved this time a few years ago. Good luck puncheon anyway. Hopefully he can score against a few top clubs again and help us out.
