I'm not sure I've ever read that from a journalist, only from fans. All I've read is that he's linked, Chelsea are interested and the bare statement of fact that he said he'd like to play for them one day. Maybe some speculation (presented as such) that it would point towards him going. Not unreasonable, is it? If they were so committed to lying in order to shift papers do you not think they'd keep going with these rumours until the minute he signs a new contract, rather than reporting that he's going to sign it as most have now done?

The exact same - that he's had a poor season but is a young player making his first appearances in a new league, and one that's very different to any he's played in before. Not many hit the ground running, and don't let anyone tell you that the few who do (Coutinho, etc) are the rule rather than the exception.

That's what I'm asking. Lambert's one of a couple who have mentioned that he'll do his work and 'get us playing how he wants' in the summer, but more importantly the man himself has talked about not being able to totally revamp the style of play midway through a season. He's said quite often he's only been able to adapt from Adkins' style Neither's Fox, to be fair! Though you'd rather have a dodgy centre mid than a dodgy full back in most Premier League games I suppose.
