  1. it is pretty bad. I think he has no choice but get down on his knees. He is hardly popular up there lol interestingly, more and more articles are coming up tearing apart Salmond's promises some Nobel prize winning economists has shown up the SNP in a fairly big way (not that it is hard) A Yes vote will automatically mean leaving the EU Wanting to keep the £ is not a viable option and points to the smaller EU nations with the Euro promising tax cuts for business does not add up either. more so when business is scotland are not highly taxed anyway Oil and gad money is already on the decline Yet the SNP are promising massive spending and more free things for everyone to keep their promises, they will have to 'borrow' huge sums of money and go down the road that they seem to want to divorce themselves from They aim to have large immigration numbers, to the size of the city of Dundee every 6 years...which is just a mad concept given that most of Europe can freely move to scotland now (and they have not) will mean most of the numbers required will be largely unskilled workers from eastern EU/Africa pretty strong words really The Boss of the KingFisher group that owns B&Q and others, has stated that prices will go up with a yes vote in almost everything (as they do not own their own currency) and that will always be passed to the customer. Yet they do not see it. Looks like the Political machine of westminster has started....pretty interesting stuff

  3. yep, he said the £ was a weight hanging around Scotland's neck
  4. throw in the possibility he may well want to keep his options open if CL atletico want him back after a good season, to be a starting CB. He may well fancy it that or liverpool buy him.
  5. the £ is theirs also apparently, As is the BBC basically, if they go it alone, they want to keep many things British even the Bank of England has come out now and said they will not be getting the £. tragically, so many are believing King Alex in thinking they will
  6. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/11460188.Toby_ready_to_seize_Saints_chance/?ref=fbpg ready to play, will take his chance when it comes admitted that it is a complicated situation with the option to buy for saints....may go back to atletico as they have an option or something looking forward to him playing.
  7. There will be monumental pressure on who ever is PM/in power to NOT give hardly anything. Huge pressure! for years, we (in England) have taken the banter, the blame and put up with their constant whinging. But should they vote YES, I can see that tolerance being broken and MASSIVE pressure put on westminster Ironically, not giving them much is the sort of thing UKIP will say they would do and could gain even more popularity
  8. a week ago, it seemed it was the NO's to lose. Now it seems the other way it served Salmond well being the underdog so to speak. Maybe he has peaked too soon.? now that the heavyweights (if you can call them that) have decided to step in and show face. Reading various bits and bobs. There will be 3x as many NO campaigners on the streets until next weds evening than compared to the NO vote BBC reporting that Milliband is under huge pressure to win over his Labour deserters. as you said before, fascinating times Most people I see interviewed keep going on about not voting for a tory government. that is fine. I never wanted a labour government front by anyone, let alone gordon bloody brown but salmond has done well to turn this into a UKIP style protest vote rather than the huge amount more than this represents
  9. Just watching the news although a NO vote will mean Scotland gets more powers and the best of most things The way Salmond is talking, he is acting like he is in the bag. If it is a NO, despite scotland winning in many ways, he would look quite foolish really.
  10. I said it COULD happen, you have decided it DEFINITELY wont. then you call me clueless, naive like you are the authority on this I am not, but my working environment (for the next week or so) is right in this sphere of defence. to be honest, who the hell knows what will happen. I just said it COULD, which is true. It could happen. I am not saying it definitely wont
  11. and you would know, how exactly?
  12. im naive? I would love to tell you where I work
  13. it is a very real possibility
  14. There is a very real possibility that faslane will remain open as is. The "English" could annex that part of Scotland A deal could be brokered where the £ is involved There is no way it could shut within 5 years if a yes vote wins (as promised) Scotland could be responsible for the closure of the UKs independent nuclear deterrent. And as such, loss of seat as in security council and even less influence in the world. Which will have a whole host of knock on effects for not only us, but an independent Scotland The costs if relocating trident are incomprehensible. I just can't see it happening. Also, I can't see how they can be seen to be kicking out nukes and as such, being anti nuclear country and then apply to join NATO. The yanks at our base believe the US are not too keen on it.

    SUI vs ENG

0-2 great result very good 2nd half to be fair. Welbeck MoM for me. He may be a tad clumsy but he is far more of a team player and direct than sturridge. I would like to see sturridge win his place back rather than just walk right back in. Henderson was very good tonight, not in the sitting role, delph was OK. Hart, Cahill good wilshere needs time out of the team, he really does and stones needs to play for everton before he plays right back again for england, clyne is just miles better good result

    SUI vs ENG

what annoys me, is the default view of many pundits that the midfield should be built around 'jack'

you dont need world class players to be decent at international level have mexico, costa rica, scotland (after last night performance) got 'world class' players? you need to pick 11 players who play fairly regularly, and well for their clubs and go with a formation that works picking stones at right back is just plain odd, stupid and unexplainable. same as the continuation with johnson at right back. throw in wilshere too. the picking of chambers for this squad shows everything that is wrong with the national set up. I like cahill, sterling, hart and henderson (if played where he does for liverpool) we have a pool of some very good players. We dont need world beaters to be decent at this level. Look at chile in the world cup, even john bosejour looked very good for them, fancy him at saints? neither would i
  20. no no no, this is a negative post. stop it
  21. also, in years gone by, there was usually a Scottish political heavy-weight in and around government. even labour is very Englsih these days
  22. jesus mate, it was only a bit of fun I mentioned you as you replied to last post on the lounge, so the first username (who I spar with) i saw
  23. I agree with this. I used to really hope'd they lose. Now I do not care The only thing I wish for is for us to draw them in the cup. very soon

  25. I wonder if a YES vote will spark an early General Election in the rest of the UK? Cameron will surely be numbered, milliband will probably wont have a chance without the scottish vote and clegg is done either way that will leave Nigel and Boris to fill the void
