I'm optimistic on this one (wasn't on JM despite rumors saying he was close) seems that ITKs have this one as almost done and importantly we don't seem to have any competition (just now)
-
Gibson signing will earn you 25 ITK respect points
-
Pellegrino
-
After the disappointment of missing out on JM let's move swiftly on to our next target Heavy ITK hints that Ben is close to joining. Also seems we have no competition, so promising signs Let's just hope he's happy to live away from his mummy. Lad has a great aura

Good aura m8

He played the equivalent of 12 full premier league games last season. He also played a fair amount in the European games. A classic MLG cut of data

Geography excuse = Destroyed!!

Thats the beauty of Twitter. You can look at previous "Tweets" and establish how accurate and reliable a poster is. He seems to post on average about 8-10x a day and his hit rate looks pretty low. Especially when you consider he's a sky journalist! You realise "sky sources" tends to include people like Eko and Barry from London
-
How niave do you need to be to believe the geography story? JM has said nothing (not seen a single quote) but we suddenly soak up Twitter "sources" when it's convenient. JM is never going to come out and say Leicester offered me more money / ambition so I picked them, it never happens. But that's the reality and reason why he picked them. Leicester have one of the best squads outside the top 6 and with Vardy, Maguire, Mahrez, Schmicheal, Gray and Iheanacho they have some of the best players outside the top 6 clubs. He picked leicester as they are more ambitious, offers more chance of medals and England progression and probably offered more money. He's also far less likely to be in a relegation battle next April. I love "John" from Twitter but to soak up and swallow all these "wants to live next door to his mummy" nonsense just shows what a bunch of happy clappy believers we have as fans these days. #WeMarchOn #triggered #chomp

Milan trip was awesome. Added to OP. Cheers Ale n John

Definitely not mate. We are all Saints fans here. We all want us to do well Like I said some of us are just more passionate and question things more than others.
-
Always good to remember the positives. Adrian I've added to the OP
-
Being a Saints fan (or a fan of any club) doesn't mean you have to offer unconditional positivity. You're allowed to question things occasionally. Right now the club is at another cross roads. I think some are rightfully questioning the ambition, management, ownership, transfer policy, current squad ect. Being super positive about all things SFC doesn't make you a bigger and better fan than others. Probably just means you are less passionate and expect /demand less. HTH

Big Harry Maguire has looked v good again. Expect the top 6 will be sniffing around after the WC

Cup final was great. Added a couple others I've seen on other threads

What's your good, bad and ugly moments from the club this past few years? Good Cup final Still in the Premier League Milan trip / Europe campaign Yellow and blue away kit Watching Alex McCarthy step up and dislodge Forster Bad Club communication Kit release Selling best players Selling past 3 captains No Saints players in England's 2018 world cup squad 2016/17 season Appointing Puel Toby Alderweireld mess up Koeman to Everton Delay in replacing Pellegrino Transfer leaks (Sturridge for example) Letting Wanyama, Clyne and Mane go cheaply Ross Wilson Ralph Krueger Kat Liebherr Krueger's motivational speeches Lack of communication during the 'bad' times Hastily arranged photo opps with scarf wearing Gaos in hotel rooms Ugly Board calling us a small club at every chance Fonte situation Not learning from our mistakes Anyone referring to boring Puel as "world class" VVD Greedy players, unrelatable Financial ambitions way above football ambition Fans feeling part of the club Beating top 6 sides in the league 2017/18 season Appointing Pellegrino Boring football Les Reed Reed jr as the 'go to agent' for our youngsters Not knowing the owner's plans or intentions for SFC Gao Selling Tadic for £10m FF new contract. £20m over 4 years

Bit straw man though isn't it? Why pick the last 7? why not look over a season where Shaqiri stats are better? Or 2nd half of season where he's better? Why not look at the last 3 games when it really matters? Again Shaqiri has better return.

We were heavy linked with Vardy before he choose stunning Leicester too. Leicester is beautiful in fairness
-
Surely the club talk to agents before submitting bids? Once the agent reveals that JM will only move 5-20 miles max then we should drop interest Or is the location a convenient excuse? We are talking about 100 miles here. Not a different country
