  1. £6m according to the Telegraph...
  2. You realise the UK has a £66 billion trade deficit with the EU? Thus, more EU businesses rely on trade with the UK than vice versa... Do a Trump on them and slap 25% on German car imports and see the EU quickly find a workable solution.
  3. I effin' love Saints. A trip down memory lane:
  4. Fun and games: Shortages of food and medicine, crops rotting in the fields, no Romanian gypsies left to wash posh folks cars, empty supermarkets, pets interned in Calais, stockpiling, prepping, John Cleese emigrating. So that was all just b0ll0x after all. And to think there were idiots that fell for it.
  5. Repetitive use of the word "but"...
  6. Airbus then... Airbus now...
  7. Let's also be clear, I started the thread in June, 2016. Trump was elected on November 9, 2016. You continued to make yourself look like a fool on January 18th, 2020.
  8. Yeah, that's right....let's flash back two years to Tuesday 24 January 2017, and 6 months after you made that prediction, chump: Keep digging, troll boy...
  9. But TTIP, TTP as well as global initiatives on services are massive ambitious projects that any new president will inherit and are unlikely to be set aside to prioritise a deal with the UK. 10. You didn't see it coming, troll boy... Today's Telegraph? Like shooting fish in a barrel...
  11. So, the thread has taken it's course and despite the ill informed, dogmatic and undemocratic ranting from the leftist trolls, over the next few weeks my prescient opening post made nearly 4 years ago, will come to pass: I must admit, at the time of the original post, I overestimated the intellect of the liberal establishment and underestimated their disdain for the democratic will of the people. Thankfully they have been vanquished at an election and silenced, apart from the occasional desperate whining this post will inevitably engender.
  12. Mate, stop reading the obituaries and live life. It's not healthy...
  13. Morning, campers. Yet more good news: #projectjoy
  14. Trump plays a blinder....
  15. I don't agree with any of that...
  16. NATO, largely financed by the US...
  17. If Carter had dealt with Iran and their religious fanatics in the hostage crisis in 1979, the world, particularly the Middle East, would be a safer place. His lack of decisive action led to him losing the next election. After this action, Trump is odds on to be reelected to keep Americans safe... Corbyn would have taken the mad mullah's side...
  18. Looks like I was wrong. A recent news article seems to suggest so:
  19. The good news keeps on coming for everyone... ...apart from those that invested with our own sage and macroeconomic expert shurlock aka Gavyn Davies whose fund was recently rated the 7th worse performing fund of 2019: #tiredofexperts
  20. To all those I've upset in 2019, many apologies and I wish you a peaceful and happy Xmas. For those I haven't upset, there's always 2020...
  21. Gavyn, here's a Xmas puzzle. Check the graph below and see if you can tell when Labour was last in power, when you were offering your sage advice to the Treasury:
  22. So, today legislation will be proposed and enacted by Parliament which will provide, in law within the first 100 days of this new government, £33.9 billion extra funding per year to the NHS . For the benefit of Diane Abbott and others, that is nearly double the £350 million a week promised by Vote Leave. So, for those that didn't believe the promise on the bus, I guess you were right. It was an underestimate.
  23. When I first went to the States, full of myself, my degree, my patents and my new job, I always remember a guy in the maintenance department asking me, "If you're so smart, why aren't you rich?". I had no answer and learned to STFU, learn from others, whatever their background and work hard. He was a black electrician from New Jersey and I owe him a lot. You can do a lot of good with money...
  24. Meanwhile, Boris continuing to play a blinder:
  25. It all started when he made a crass, sexist and insulting comment about my daughter. I have NEVER insulted his daughter, Peppa...
