  1. No deal is the best option. Knock the Lego model of the European Kremlin down and build a new Gateway to the World. I've even got a video for the project: [video=youtube;DVZfZu-aAr0]
  2. I think the information that she is a useless negotiator with the charisma of a wet tea towel may be an open secret, now...
  3. Thanks for proving that being in the eurozone is pointless...
  4. Non, je ne regrette rien:
  5. I love the Beeb, reporting on the Norway investment:
  6. Stick this in your pipe and smoke it:
  7. The betrayal is complete:
  8. More good news for the UK economy ahead of freedom day: Apparently, this is all because of Brexit...
  9. The UK should slap a 25% tariff on German and Japanese cars and obtain a free trade agreement with the US, (with 0% tariffs on autos). That'll make the Japanese and Germans manufacture cars in the UK after Brexit. 12% corporation tax will seal the deal...
  10. The Turkish plant also faced closure, according to a statement issued by Mr Tomlinson and Robert Buckland, the MP for South Swindon. Autocar magazine said that Donald Trump's threat of import tariffs for European-made cars was a "significant factor" as many UK-made Civics are exported to the US.
  11. They're closing the Turkish plant as well. Maybe our resident economics experts can explain to a thicko like me why, with the upcoming zero tariffs on Japanese auto exports to the EU, under the recent free trade deal between the EU and Japan, they would have any reason to manufacture cars in the EU. We all know the answer. Making Japan Great Again....
  12. The BBC reported on Project Fear, in June, 2017. I doubt they are doing the same with the news that not one clearing job will be lost under a no-deal Brexit (the so called worst-case scenario)
  13. Honda relocates car manufacturing to Japan. It's apparently to do with Brexit. Meanwhile:
  14. Or just MEGA ??
  15. ....and back to the opening post, Trump just said: God Bless America
  16. Christine Lagarde warns entire European project at risk as southern economies fall behind prosperous north Translation for Germany's benefit : French banks are going to try and bring down the Italian government. But this time it won't work. If there's an election, Lega and 5 Star will gain an even bigger majority. And if the banks pull the rug, Salvini and Di Maio will take the ballistic option and bring in a parallel currency. Then it's Goodnight Euro. Time for Germany to bail out the banks (again).
  17. Meanwhile, a year after this post... ...fast forward to today...
  18. If only Lord Buckethead had been elected as the Honourable Member for Maidenhead. We'd have a deal by now...
  19. My reply to you, sh!t for brains, was a copy of a one I received from shurlock on this thread where he was commenting on my point regarding the relatively few trade deals the EU had completed. So, having made you look like a complete tool, you are back on ignore....
  20. A telltale sign of a complete amateur or fraud in this area is someone who blindly counts up the number of trade deals without interrogating their depth, focuses only on tariffs at the exclusion of nontrade barriers and reduces trade to trade in goods rather than trade in goods and services.
  21. George Soros finally makes it clear how he sees the EU: So, the guy that broke the Bank of England is bemoaning the fact that there is a chance that the EU will no longer be like the Soviet Union and we need to wake up. Jesus H Christ...
  22. Japan can wait...
  23. Excellent and thoughtful post. I have two points that I would like to make: Democracy won and always should. Shangri-la is never around the next corner.
  24. I was asked whether or not I wanted to leave the EU and I voted to leave. I must have forgotten to fill in the answer to the question of why and there wasn't enough space of the ballot paper anyway.
