But but David Moyes is British! Funny how people can judge a manager who's never had the opportunity at a club at a higher level like ours. It's an argument equivalent to never playing a youth player because "they've never done it on the big stage". It does baffle me.

This is a good read on Claude Puel. I still think I would have Rudi Garcia as my favourite but I would be happy with any of the three candidates mentioned.
I've seen a few Roma fans moan about Rudi Garcia but you can't get beyond the fact that he delivered them some of their most exiting attacking football in a tough period for them as well as in his first season getting their record points tally and clean sheets. I think he would thrive at a stable club like ours where he will be able to have an input in transfers unlike at Roma as well as not being under the constant pressure and high expectations of Roma supporters.
You find me a team in the premier league that had a total budget of only £6 million and still compete at the top and even qualify for Europa league in one season with by far the worst squad in the league. In my opinion a team that eventually gets relegated when they're the worst team in the division is not a bad manager. We all lauded Martinez at Wigan and just imagine that but he didn't have equal Tv money and he got Wigan into the Europa qualifying stages through league position. I think we would be excited.
Also I understand the argument that forgein managers are more highly rated than domestic managers however I think it works both ways where if an English manager doesn't do as well they don't get nearly as much criticism as a forgein manager.
Exactly also if we got Paco it would definitely be the most exciting football we would have seen in a long time at St. Mary's although his defensive set up may be a concern. I would much rather Paco Jemez than Vitor Pereira, where Fenerbache's own fans think he's awful.
Apparently Pereira had a poor season with Fenerbache this year. Despite having the biggest budget and best team they were still unable to win the league or the cup. Fans don't seem to rate him highly either so not sure if he would be as great as some are suggesting.
I get what you're saying I just think that it's unfair to say he's not had a good season just because the team with by far the lowest budget eventaully got relegated. I think looking at the managers linked to the job that the chosen manager will be a choice from left field as I'm not too enthused by the likes of Pellegrini I don't know why. Although for the first time I'm excited by who we're going to choose as our manager
But he kept them up for many seasons despite having by far the smallest budget and having to sell their best players every year. It's equivalent to what Martinez did at Wigan but far better as the disparity in budgets between Rayo Vallecano and the rest of the league is far greater with no equal tv pay and a rumoured budget of only €7 mil a year to cover all costs.
Wonder if the mystery man is the Rayo Vallecano manager Paco Jemez. Fits the profile of a young manager who plays pressing football but more attacking than Pochettino and has done well considering the clubs small budget. Saw someone on Twitter mention that he had an offer from an English club and seeing as we are the only manager less PL club it could be us.
On a positive note, I image players such as Cedric, Reed, JWP, Tadic, and the majority of the youth squad won't be too upset if he leaves. I just hope we keep Sammy Lee and Dave Watson.
He's one of the best players for England U21's so he's not a bad player. Also last year he was in and out of the side and never was given a single position to play in so it wasn't easy. Still think he can be a great player but this season is his most important to prove himself
