  1. Watching Helen Mirren on The One Show last night and remembering I used to fancy her in the 70s.
  2. I know plenty of people who don’t know who there local MP is. Technically we vote for our local MPs but I do believe that most people vote based on the leader of a party. That is why the right wing press spend so much time and energy attacking Corbyn.
  3. You sound like an editorial from the Mail, Express or Sun Nick. We need a change of Government. The poorer members of society need help. The middle classes need help. Character assassination is all well and good what what we need is a PM and a party with very different values than those of Johnson’s and his Tories.
  4. The big difference is that if we don’t like a Government we can vote them out every 5 years or so. In 5 to 10 year’s time when the economy is shot we will not be able do anything about it.
  5. You really can’t help yourself can you?
  6. I am going to miss John Bercow. I doubt many of his own party will miss him though.
  7. Why do we need to get behind one person? I know it’s an old fashioned concept, but what is wrong about getting behind the whole club?
  8. I am not sure Billy Sharp is thriving. He spends most of his time on the bench.
  9. David Lidington now jumping ship.
  10. Despite cutting back the fire service substantially in London, it looks like Johnson is going to avoid any flak.
  11. It was crucial not to get another spanking last night. In that respect, job done.
  12. I think in both cases it is safe to assume that if their lips are moving they are lying.
  13. Really? And yet you, Duckie and your ilk would have us believe that Corbyn is a dangerous Marxist! Do you deny that the Tories are shifting from a centrist Party and further to the right?
  14. Because time and again we hear about how the country prefers centre ground politics rather than extreme politics. Clearly though you and Duckie fall in the later group.
  15. Only for you hardliners, not for the rest of the country who would prefer to see a “Broad Church” party.
  16. Watching the pictures on the news again last night absolutely horrifying.
  17. This seat is a strong Tory and Brexit seat so I can’t see any change here. Pretty much the same in most of SE England. Looks like a tactical vote again, for what it is worth.
  18. The point is now we know a lot more about what Brexit means to the economy and to the Union etc. It makes perfect sense to put it back to the people for a final decision.
  19. Then you won’t mind having a better informed second referendum then will you if you are so sure the majority is with you. Face it. You are crapping yourself because more and more people understand what it will mean to leave.
  20. From the National Institute of Economic and Social Research. The UK will be £70billion worse off by 2029 with Johnson’s deal. Boris playing a blinder?
  21. Just as well Pep has put out a weaker team.
  22. Of course she is principled, that is why she left the right wing infested Tory Party. She has been driven out by people like you.
  23. If you are so sure that the majority are still with you, what are you afraid of?
  24. That’ll show ‘em! What a pathetic response.
  25. According to the Washington Post, the President has told just under 13,500 lies in his tenure so far.
