The Gregg Wallace story was the main item on the BBC News this evening, beating Aleppo in the schedule.

I’m not supporting his tactics in the slightest and hate the suicidal passing from the back as much as anyone, but the fact that Dibling and Fernandes do take people on seems to indicate that the plan isn’t just to pass the ball to death.

For those who want to believe their is a left wing bias in the media in the UK, this might come as a shock. https://pressgazette.co.uk/media-audience-and-business-data/media_metrics/uk-media-bias-2024/

Since when has saying to someone that this current bill about assisted dying is not mandatory been offensive? For a bunch of anti-woke warriors you lot have suddenly turned in to a bunch of snowflakes. And it is so unlike you lot be ever be offensive to others is it? Always the same people. You dish it out but get precious when it comes back. Even Whelk didn’t find it offensive, which tells you all you need to know! If any one of my posts on here offended a poster that I respected and wasn’t dishing it out themselves, I would worry about it.

Is he wrong though? If the state paid for his education surely he has been state educated? -

I may have misunderstood, but I think that the OP was saying that we should have more points but have been robbed by the officials and therefore perhaps we are not as crap as we think we are???

And not everyone is like you and reads every single thread they contribute to from the first page. Still, you shouldn’t be wasting time, you need to go back to page 1 and find the dozens of posts I have made calling Trump a warmonger. There are 114 pages so it could take a while. Oh, and talking about getting the wrong end of the stick, you do know that you replied to a post from Farmer Saint on another thread as if it was from me? 🤣

His current comments about “middle class women of a certain age” show that he is completely unaware that the world has moved on. It reminds me of an interview with Jim Davidson a few years ago where he felt he was hard done by and also had failed to understand that his behaviour and routine was well behind the times. “It was just a bit of bantz” doesn’t cut it anymore.

There are stories on the front pages of The Sun and The Star of him being accused of groping which is obviously much more serious. Again though, trial by media when these matters should go through the proper channels.

If our second goal had been allowed how do you know that we would have gone on to win the game? There was still time for Brighton to equalise and even get a winner just as there was time for us to get another. This speculation just as pointless as our league position. Unless the goal is scored (or disallowed) in the last second of the game, the game will play out differently, even if the score does eventually stay the same. Sorry to be stating the bleedin’ obvious but all manner of things will affect the final result - team selection, tactics, weather conditions, on field decisions, substitutions etc. The only thing that matters in the end is the final result. Could have, should have, would have…we are where we are because we are currently the worst team in this league. To borrow a quote from a TV personality, “If my grandmother had wheels she would be a bicycle”.

Hello again Trigger. Taken some time out from stalking the farmer? Strange behaviour would be going back and reading very old posts when you join a forum just so you might be able to use them against someone sometime. Perhaps you do that? It wouldn’t surprise me. But as it’s a crap day and the dog has given up on her walk, I will indulge you. Exactly how many wars did Trump start when he was last in office? I don’t think it was an awful lot was it? Why then would I call him a warmonger? Talking of flip flopping, no one, properly not even Trump himself, knew what he was going to do from day to day. You can be a threat to world peace without being a warmonger. If I said that he was mad enough to press the red button, that is different from saying that he would actively go out and seek conflicts with other countries. Anyway, I think that it is sweet of you to go in to bat for nic. Birds of a feather and all that. Of you pop and go and find loads of old posts to prove him right. P.S. Joe Biden was the president when this thread started.

There are a small number of posters on here who become obsessed with other posters and feel the need to respond almost immediately, usually with a dig, at everything you post. These are apparently mature men with families. You have to wonder what their wives and children would make of their behaviour. I have acquired a few over the years. You get used to it eventually. (and bingo, one turns up right on cue 🤣)

Has Wallace been pulled up on comments about nine pinters down at his local ale house yet?
-
What are you talking about? What are these opinions that I am denying from some years ago? You have only been here since last year so how would you know? Another conspiracy? 🤔

With great power comes great responsibility Whelk. It is good to hear that you do not abuse your position. A fine example to us all 👏

Where did you appear on the list Whelk? Wallace is a relic of the 70’s mentality and God knows there are still plenty of those around. By the sound of it he has done nothing illegal and the public pile on has been over the top. If he is found to have behaved inappropriately then just remove him from his job. This character assassination in public is what you normally get on social media platforms. It is worrying that you can get hung, drawn, quartered and cancelled in days in the national media now. I’m no fan of Wallace and his recent comments do little to help his position, if anything they make it look worse, but things like this should be dealt with by the HR department, not trial by a national media pile on. https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/gregg-wallace-news-masterchef-penny-lancaster-accusations-bbc-b2656720.html

For anyone interested, more information about the proposed Observer sale here. I’ll save you the trouble Batman, don’t bother. Why should we be concerned? The Observer is the worlds oldest Sunday newspaper. https://www.nuj.org.uk/resource/not-for-sale-save-the-observer.html

Of course I understand it egg. I do agree with you but I also think that it is refreshing to see a politician say what they think rather than stick to political expediency. It’s all about money at the end of the day though and I don’t think P&O or Donald Trump would pass up an opportunity to make money over some uncomplimentary remarks. -
Yes, it doesn’t seem like he has a cats chance in hell of getting the land back but Putin is unlikely to agree to any kind of NATO membership either. How Zelensky can get a security guarantee without NATO membership, who knows?

More grief for Putin. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cy5l50y76k3t

Even Brighton, who are clearly a better team than us, nearly came unstuck a few times trying to play out from the back. The sooner this fad gets binned the better.
