If I remember correctly the enquiries didn’t find that these people were not brought to book over fear of accusations of cover ups. It was more to do with incompetence within the police and social services. The last government had 14 years to deal with child sexual abuse. It is a scandal that the findings of a seven year enquiry have yet to be implemented. When Musk fails, as do a few posters on here, is that the problem is far wider than Asian gangs. It has been a problem within the Christian church for hundreds of years. It is a problem in the home where children are abused by family members. Predators predate. These people are opportunists and will operate where ever they find the opportunity. By just focussing on the Asian rape gangs not only is Musk ignoring the wider problem, he is also displaying his racist tendencies. Musk is not a “hero” as dubbed by Musk. He is ignorant and bigoted. Even his statement about Farage is wrong. Without Farage Reform would be now where. He attracts like minded people like a magnet and he is also now drawing in people around the edges because he is playing the populist card á la Trump. Like Trump, he knows just what buttons to press and what types of red meat works. Reform is the far right of the Tory Party trying to dress itself up as a sheep. Put a less divisive leader in place of Farage and you might as well just stick with the Tories.
  2. You have to feel sorry for the poor love. With the forum being down for a few days and no one to stalk he would have had to put a full shift in at work and spend time with his family instead of spending his time trolling on the internet.

As you will know well, I support neither of them one iota. I suspect that Farage is only trying to distance himself from Robinson because he feels that he will be sullied by Tommy’s thuggish reputation.

Whereas you bend over backwards trying to find someone not racist because, apparently, he only hates Muslims. You have an issue with Scientology. Do you also have issues with the ideology of the National Front and the English Defence League? Robinson has been heavily involved in both organisations. Experts in this field (not keyboard warriors on a football forum) who deal with these issues day in, day out, say that he is racist. Any time anyone displays any animosity towards Muslims, no matter what their backgrounds, you find a way to play down their hate. By the same token, you tell us your Muslim uncle is wrong when he tells you that people should not take his prophet in vain. You cut Muslim haters slack but not Muslims. Your male is wrong but Tommy is okish because he only hates Muslims. That is what it sounds like from your posts over the years.

With respect you can have views on immigration that are not specifically racist.

Pretty much spot on, a classic narcissist who believes the world revolves around him. He uses the populist playbook - radical conservatism, authoritarianism, ultra nationalism, nativism, chauvinism and xenophobia superbly well because it is all based on on selfishness and narcissists understand that more than anybody else. He uses far right ideology as a trade off. He gives people what they want and in return they inflate his own ego.

The definition of a racist is a person who is prejudiced against or antagonistic towards people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethic group. Tommy Robinson is a racist. Elon Musk is a racist too.

On the basis that we apparently need to have another election already according to the biggest nut job in the US other than Trump, perhaps Musk will also call for another referendum on Brexit using the same argument? https://www.gbnews.com/politics/elon-musk-calls-new-election-britain-labour-support-plummeting

The people who support these champions of the far right either implicitly or otherwise need to be called out for what they are if we aren’t going to end up going down the same road as the US. The Farage bandwagon is already picking up stream and scumbags like Robinson do a lot of his dirty work for him. We have seen it all through history which is in danger of repeating itself in the West. It isn’t so much the people like Farage and Robinson that are the problem. More the gullible that give them credence or those like the people in the US who voted Trump in. The rise of the far right in Europe is very clear but is greeted by laughing emojis by the very people who are allowing it to happen. For the very person who told us on here that “socialism is dangerous” (hypochondriac for those that don’t know) far right politics, and those who support them, pose a far greater threat to us at this time.

Thinking about it you have posted in the past that you claimed not to know much about him and it was pointed out to you what a racist scumbag he is. Why are you still pretending that you don’t know much about him and continue to play down his racist views? Even if you struggle with the evidence against him, even you should get an inkling about his tendencies given he led the very racist English Defence League. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_Defence_League

Yet you supported him when I posted negative comments about him? Strange behaviour for someone who claimed not to know much about him. Mind you it was the same with Katie Hopkins. If you can be bothered there is plenty of evidence out there proving that he is “unambiguously racist”. I’ll help you out. https://bridge.georgetown.edu/research/factsheet-tommy-robinson/ https://resistinghate.org/yes-tommy-robinson-you-are-a-racist/amp/
  15. Absolutely 😂. Priceless. The point is that we all pay for things that we don’t use anymore. For example, I don’t use the public baths any more but I still pay towards them. I used them in the past. I used to go to school. I don’t any more but I still pay towards them. The BBC is just like that. It is a publicly owned broadcasting institution that is there for all to use as it when it wants, if it wants to. If you chose not to others in your household might want to, or your neighbours, or your relatives in another part of the country. Just like public ally owned swimming baths and schools. It isn’t just Eastenders or Radio 1. It is a publicly owned broadcasting platform that provides us all with a service whether we actually use it or not. Just like swimming baths. We as a society all benefit from things that we use, we use sometimes and things that we never actually use ourselves. The BBC is a part of the fabric of our society along with schools, swimming pools, waste collection, Trident nuclear weapons, street lights etc. Should blind people be exempt from paying towards street lights? Should I be exempt from paying towards nuclear weapons because I don’t agree with them? Would Duckie feel so aggrieved with the BBC if it was more like GB News? The BBC still produces quality programmes. If people choose not to watch them so be it, but it is still an important part of the fabric of this country and provides a service for us all if we want to take advantage of it. Just like swimming pools and other public services. Just like swimming pools, even if we don’t use them ourselves anymore, or never have used them, by paying towards them and their upkeep we are helping to enrich the experiences and opportunities of those in our society. If we all start to insist that we only pay for things that we personally use we end up in a society populated by people like Duckie, hypochondriac and the other usual suspects. Can you imagine what that would be like? If the BBC was funded from our taxes, would people complain as much about paying for it?

😂 https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cy53vz1qpx1o.amp He shares the same interest in Pepe Le Frog as another alt right supporter on here it seems.
  20. Sad to hear that Johnnie Walker has passed away today aged 79. I was never a big fan of Radio 1 and their DJs but he was one of the few I would listen to, especially in his later years on the air. He was one of the pioneers of pirate radio on Radio Caroline. It’s hard to believe now how little exposure we had to popular music on the radio back in the 60’s. RIP.

You really are quite dense Weston. My point is that we no longer need to send humans to other planets having done it on the moon and have the advanced technology to send robots to other planets instead of humans. This has nothing to do with LBC but has everything to do with reading something and engaging your brain. Something you seem incapable of. Nothing better to do in the Christmas holidays than to stalk and troll? Anyway, back to Musk. I knew little about him until the Thai cave rescue when he called one of the rescuers a “pedo guy.” It seems he is a campaigner for free speak so long as he can defame people himself. I see he recently told someone on X to “go f**k yourself in the face” because he criticised Musk whilst at the same time calling for the platform to be one of “light”. Strange man.
  22. It’s certainly a no to a knighthood but then our honours system is littered with people who get that honour without achieving anything special.
  23. The BBC is still producing a wide range of quality programming, although, granted, not as much as before. I have spent ages scanning other channels and apps for things to what this Christmas and apart from old films, can’t find much to rival it. You won’t find high quality things like Wolf Hall, Wallace & Gromit, international, national and local news, a wide variety of quiz and light entertainment shows, drama etc on one channel elsewhere. It’s never going to be all things to all people but I have yet to find another channel that comes near in terms of quality and diversity. Throw in the quality radio broadcasting and international coverage too. When you go back and look at the quality vintage programmes, the vast majority of them were made by the BBC. We should cherish the institution rather than try and hasten its demise.

The moon landings were an incredible achievement and provided many other spin off benefits for mankind. We know a lot more about space and space travel than we did in the last century thanks to that programme. We know that we can achieve just as much now by sending unmanned missions into space. If Musk wants to be remembered for something special that would provide greater benefits to mankind, perhaps he should spend his considerable wealth on finding a cure for cancer instead? Maybe Musk should take time out from becoming the next Bond villain and takes some tips from Gates? https://www.gatesfoundation.org/about/foundation-fact-sheet No Musk on this list. https://english.jagran.com/trending/list-of-top-10-philanthropists-in-the-world-from-jamsetji-tata-to-zuckerberg-check-top-philanthropists-and-their-contributions-10193542
  25. Why? Does history remember the runners up? Currently he holds the same honour as the only man in this country who has won a major honour with an England football team. Doesn’t seem right does it? He already has something. A runners up medal. If we are desperate to honour Southgate for his services to football in this country but not actually winning anything, perhaps he should have received an MBE or something similar? Knighthoods should be for very special achievements only.
