  1. Hmmmm…racist or rapist?
  2. And both Trump apologists (who claim not to be Trump apologists despite all of the evidence to the contrary) post laughing emojis on your post. You can see why there are so many MAGAs in the US with so many gullible people falling for the demented orange narcissist’s guff whilst pretending to be rational human beings.
  3. You are absolutely right, we will never know, yet despite all evidence to the contrary, you are “convinced” that we would be better off under Martin?
  4. Good god. Dopey Trump apologist supports right wing agenda “news” channel shocker! 😂 More bad news for Farage. https://www.peoplemanagement.co.uk/article/1944787/declining-uk-migration-figures-whats-impact-employers
  5. Farage quote, “Never trust a Tory.” Who has just joined Reform? Nadhim Zahawi.
  6. Clearly we do not. Socrates and Plato also talked about how tyranny can come from democracy via the use of “populism” which Trump has done so well so far. We look on in horror (well, most of us do) at what Trump is doing in the US, but we are currently heading in the same direction. The rise of Reform in the polls and the rise in airtime given to populists is equally horrifying. Not only because of the growing support, but how the old established parties are reacting to the threat and dancing to Farage’s tune. Throw in general disillusionment with mainstream politics and politicians and it is a recipe for disaster. Farage screwed over the country ten years ago and a large number of people either have short memories or never learn their lesson.
  7. Mick Channon?
  8. It is no spin. We clearly can’t at the moment and I don’t see the point in pretending otherwise. We weren’t ready for the Prem last season and we are not ready to go up again this season. Wherever we end up, I just want to see a team who is able to compete at that level and hopefully push on. No club can guarantee success no matter how much money they spend and who they spend it on. They have to rely on the planets aligning and doing so season after season. Like most clubs, ours are not doing so currently and for a number of reasons as we know. This is my 60th year of supporting the Saints so I have probably finally learnt to live with the fact that we are never going to be an Arsenal or a Manchester United and accept that things could always be worse!
  9. Pushed the boat out yesterday and bought a take away curry! The other cut back was getting rid of one car. Not ideal as there is virtually no public transport worth using around here but we/I work around it with help from the neighbours, some of whom are retired so are around for lifts during the day if needs be. The Mrs takes the car to work but it is only a couple of miles down the road so if I need the car for the day I drop her off and pick her up so not the end of the world and saves £££s. Things could be worse.
  10. I suppose the question is what do you prefer, mid table mediocrity in the Championship or being cannon fodder in the EPL? This season might not be great but at least we have won some matches and are generally competitive. I’d take this season (so far) over last season any day. Honestly, what is the point of going up if we end up getting beaten week in week out again? The EPL is not the be all and end all. To state the obvious, there are more clubs outside the EPL than in it and people still turn out to see the lower leagues.
  11. We avoided a banana skin, unlike the previous cup winners, and are through to the next round. Could be worse.
  12. She smiled at the other ICE officer and said “I’m not mad at you dude” just before the other guy shot her. Just after he shot her you hear him say “fucking bitch.” The information is right there yet some people are still defending her murder.
  13. Get Baz back!!
  14. Going to the pub. It is only over the road and used to be full of locals but since Covid, not so many go regularly. Coupled with the cheapest wine going from £15 a bottle to £28 and lager now over £6 a pint and it makes more sense to stock up at the supermarket and drink at home. We also used to have lunch out every weekend but those prices have nearly doubled too. Why pay £15 for a cafe burger when you can buy two Wagu burgers in Tesco’s for £4? It is a shame because it is obviously affecting small local businesses, but our joint income has been dwarfed by the cost of living increases so things we used to do regularly become an occasional treat.
  15. It is just as well that they bought Alaska from Russia when they did.
  16. If it doesn’t matter, why comment? You seem pretty happy and relaxed with the abuse of power Brett.
  17. This isn’t the National Guard. They are taking non illegal citizens off the streets and deporting them. How long has that been going on for?
  18. Yep, she recklessly reversed her car and turned the wheels hard to the right, accelerating slowly forward, avoiding direct contact with the agent, with her window wound down. That is a death penalty right there.
  19. That’s ok then. Have they been putting poorly trained quasi military groups into their towns and cities for decades too or removing their own citizens from the country by armed thugs?
  20. There is a clear video clip showing the wheels of the car turning away from him, him planting both feet (not jumping out of the way) and firing through the windscreen. As the car passes him he then fires twice more through the side window. Not knocked to the ground. Not ending up in hospital. Just rattled by two women who possed no obvious apparent threat to his life. He and his fellow agents then prevent the shot woman receiving medical aid. The lack of concern for the life of a citizen of the USA from Trump and his cronies tells you all you need to know. If you are not with us, you are the enemy.
  21. Musk is now saying “any excuse for censorship.” So he is absolutely fine with his platform being used to make sexualised images of non consenting women and children because that equates, in his deranged brain, with “free speech and freedom of expression?”
  22. Gotta love these true patriots, eh? https://www.thenational.scot/news/25738100.tommy-robinson-calls-donald-trump-invade-uk-venezuela/
  23. “We had whistles. They had guns.” We are watching this in real time just as generations before us watched their societies being abused by sociopathic leaders. At some point the millions of decent US citizens will have to do something. Enough is enough.
  24. More bollocks from Trump. Greenland is under the NATO umbrella. There is no way that Russia or China is going to take Greenland without WW3 breaking out. His supporters will suck it up though. Never under estimate the number of people who will follow deranged morons. https://www.reuters.com/world/china/trump-says-us-needs-own-greenland-deter-russia-china-2026-01-09/
  25. Good question. Cortese was clearly high on the narcissist scale and his behaviour could well have soured their relationship after a while. Marcus didn’t spend a fortune on us but what money was spent was spent well at the time. Would he have been prepared to spend the kind of money to secure a long term successful run in the EPL? I may have got this wrong but I think that he said that it wouldn’t necessarily be a long term project for him? We will never know of course. What we do know though is that, if Cortese is a football genius, he seems to have escaped the attention of any football club seeking a genius CEO.
