Thanks for the name check! No excitement GS. I just naturally assume that anyone who affiliates with Reform doesn’t have a problem with him. Birds of a feather… Never heard of him before but he seems to have a dodgy record of playing the system so he will fit right in as you say. Farage is trying to sell his party as an alternative to the “corrupt” and “broken” major parties. In truth he is building a party that would be worse than the two combined. How long before Braverman jumps on board?

According to my in depth research the US currently has 67,515 military personal deployed amongst some 40 bases from the NW of Greenland to Turkey’s border with Russia. These bases are situated in Germany, Italy, UK, Spain, Turkey, Belgium, Netherlands, Greece, Poland, Portugal, Romania. They have many strategic air bases spread across Europe. The largest US base in the UK, RAF Lakenheath, hosts the US’s 48th fighter wing. I am surprise that his group of advisors haven’t warned Trump that he shouldn’t piss of his European allies as they rely on their bases abroad strategically. Perhaps they did and he ignored them? Perhaps they are as dumb as him? I expect that our friends in Europe will despatch the Trump Whisperer, Keir Starmer, to remind him that threatening the very allies that he relies upon for his position of strength outside of his own borders is not a good idea. To state the obvious, it isn’t wise for the POTUS to reduce the defence of his country to the Pacific and Atlantic coasts and its land borders. We have cards too Donald.

As the first person to use AI on here perhaps this comment is a tad hypocritical? -

Perhaps if you bothered to to actually think before you post you wouldn’t come across of the forum Trigger. A robot did not tell me what to think. It gave a response to question which was to compare Marxism and Fascism (which, surprise surprise, I already knew are very different). If you can’t see a difference you are no brighter than nic. -

Yes it is lazy but who has time to spend hours of research when responding to nonsense on a football forum? It may not always be 100% accurate or definitive, but it is useful when looking to précis a lot of factual information. I don’t think anyone on the planet other than nic doesn’t understand that Marxism and Fascism are completely different and opposite ideologies. I don’t have the time or inclination to waste my day explaining to him why that is so yes, I used the lazy option. I address my comments directly to nic. No one else needs to bother to read them if not interested. -
Perhaps he needs to get his information from MSN after all? He also doesn’t seem to understand the direct difference in the effect on the two different governments between the mid terms in the US and local council elections here. No surprise though as he believes that Marxists and Fascists are the same.
-
Do you understand the difference between ‘cancelled” and “postponed?” You seem to ignore what is happening. There is a huge change coming in the organisation of local councils. They have been asked if they need more time to prepare for these changes. Some have said yes, some no and some I believe have yet to decide. Do you think it is the best use of tax payers money to hold an election this Spring, at great expense when local councils are short of cash, when that council will not exist next year or will have to hold another poll due to various changes? Perhaps you do, with your space cadet thinking out of the box mentality. Yet again, the poster with the self proclaimed biggest intellect on the forum, manages to add 2 + 2 and come up with the answer = fish.

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

Here you go nic. Learn something. You can think of Lenin & Stalin on one side and Hitler & Mussolini on the other as representing two different totalitarian traditions: communist and fascist. They shared some methods of rule, but their ideologies, goals, and social bases were very different. 1. Core ideology Lenin & Stalin (Communism / Marxism–Leninism) Based on Marxism: class struggle, socialism → communism Goal (in theory): a classless society Emphasized economic equality Initially internationalist (world revolution), later more state-centered under Stalin Hitler & Mussolini (Fascism / Nazism) Based on ultranationalism Rejected Marxism and liberal democracy Accepted social hierarchy as natural Defined the nation by race (Hitler) or state loyalty (Mussolini) Key difference: Communists focused on class, fascists focused on nation and identity 2. Economic system Lenin & Stalin Abolished private ownership of major industry Central planning Collectivized agriculture (especially under Stalin) No independent capitalist class Hitler & Mussolini Private property remained State tightly controlled and coordinated industry Worked with industrialists and elites Economy geared toward militarization Key difference: Communism eliminated capitalism; fascism used capitalism under state direction 3. Political power & the state Lenin & Stalin One-party communist state Claimed legitimacy from representing the working class Repression justified as necessary for revolution Stalin built a highly centralized personal dictatorship Hitler & Mussolini One-party fascist state Power centered on the leader (Führer / Duce) Mass mobilization through nationalist spectacle Open glorification of violence and war Similarity: All four ruled as dictators with no real political opposition. 4. Use of terror and repression Lenin & Stalin Secret police (Cheka, NKVD) Political purges, labor camps (Gulag) Terror framed as class warfare Stalin’s terror was far broader and more lethal Hitler & Mussolini Secret police (Gestapo, OVRA) Concentration camps Terror aimed at racial, political, and social enemies Nazi terror became genocidal Key difference: Communist terror targeted class enemies; Nazi terror targeted racial enemies 5. Nationalism and racism Lenin Opposed nationalism in theory Supported national self-determination (selectively) Stalin Mixed Marxism with Russian-centered nationalism Still did not base rule on race Hitler Centrality of race Antisemitism and Aryan supremacy Genocide as a core goal Mussolini Nationalist, but initially not racially obsessed Adopted racial laws later under Nazi influence Key difference: Only Hitler’s regime made race and genocide central to its ideology. 6. Foreign policy goals Lenin & Stalin Lenin: world revolution (Comintern) Stalin: security and expansion of socialism Ideology-driven but often pragmatic Hitler & Mussolini Expansionist imperialism Hitler sought Lebensraum and racial conquest Mussolini aimed to rebuild a Roman Empire 7. Personal rule differences Lenin: Ideologue and revolutionary; ruled collectively (to a degree) Stalin: Bureaucratic master; paranoid, highly personal dictatorship Hitler: Charismatic mass leader; ideological fanatic Mussolini: Performer-politician; less systematic, less radical than Hitler -

Oh dear, I shall try one last time. Were Lenin and Stain both Marxist? Yes, no one is disputing that, but they interpreted Marxism differently. Were Lenin and Stalin fascist dictators? No. You seem to be getting their ideology confused with Hitler and Mussolini, but no surprise there as you seem to have a blind spot when it comes to far right ideologies. A dictator is a dictator. You are so desperate to label despots products of the “looney left” that you give real Fascists any easy pass. I don’t think I have seen one post from you where you call out extreme right actions. You currently spend your three posts a day trying to deflect the actions of the likes of Trump and Farage and now you do that by bringing up the names of long dead Russians who political ideologies were nothing like the political ideologies of two long dead people, one German, one Italian. You are not thing outside of the box. You are not thinking. Fascism is Fascism. Marxism is Marxism. Communism is Communsim. They all have different names because they all describe different things. Just because the leaders of various regimes use similar strong arm methods to implement and maintain their regimes, it does not mean that they share the same beliefs (unless you believe in some of the weird conspiracy theories that gullible people like you do). Once more, we use different words to differentiate different things. We say Marxism because it means one thing. We say Fascism because it means something different. We say dictator because it describes a style of governance. Ergo we say Marxist Dictator, Communist dictator, Fascist Dictator etc. (well, normal people do anyway). If you “think outside the box” and add Fascist to either a Marxist or Communist dictatorship, all you are doing is confusing two very different ideologies as has been pointed out to you before. Would you like to remove your head from your arse? I have another question for you. Why do you get so upset about my feelings towards the mortality of a despot currently ruling the US, yet apparently have no concerns that an innocent American woman was shot three times at close range and killed by an armed agent of the state whilst peacefully carrying out her rights under the second amendment of the US constitution? Then again, you post laughing emojis on posts about dead innocent Palestinians killed by another nationalistic despot, so no surprises there. So what is Trump becoming in your out of box thinking style? A Marxist Communist Fascist Narcissist Mentalist Dictator? -
You are assuming that Trump has functioning, normal cognitive abilities. That is some assumption.

He is using our bases and those in Europe to support his military operations. Without them his operations are screwed unless he uses nukes. Why do you think the Chagos Island base is so important. The US is weaker without the support of the rest of us. Allies don’t threaten you and threaten to take other allies territory. If he was committed to NATO why threaten NATO allies with financial penalties if they don’t hand over land governed by a NATO ally? He is no more trustworthy than Putin. “Yes, the U.S. relies heavily on its European bases for strategic global reach, acting as essential hubs for NATO operations, power projection, and logistics, especially for operations in the Middle Eastand Africa, with major facilities in Germany, Italy, and the UK significantly supporting U.S. and allied military readiness and deterring adversaries like Russia. Key Roles of U.S. Bases in Europe: Launchpad for Global Operations: Bases like Ramstein Air Base in Germany are crucial staging grounds for deployments to other regions, including Africa and the Middle East. NATO Backbone: These bases house key NATO command structures, like the Allied Air Command, solidifying transatlantic defense and U.S. commitment. Deterrence: A strong U.S. presence deters potential adversaries, particularly Russia, and reassures allies, making Europe a critical front line for U.S. security. Logistical Hubs: Facilities like Naval Support Activity (NSA) Naples and Naval Station Rota in Italy and Spain provide vital logistical support for naval and air forces in the Mediterranean and beyond. Training & Readiness: They allow for critical joint training with European allies, enhancing interoperability and collective defense capabilities. Examples of Key Bases: Ramstein Air Base, Germany:HQ for US Air Forces in Europe (USAFE) and Allied Air Command. Lakenheath & Mildenhall, UK:Key Air Force bases hosting significant personnel. Aviano Air Base, Italy: Supports the only U.S. fighter wing south of the Alps, a key NATO hub. Rota, Spain: A major logistics hub for U.S. and NATO forces. In essence, these European bases are seen as indispensable for projecting U.S. power, maintaining European security, and ensuring U.S. strategic interests are met globally, despite ongoing discussions about burden-sharing within NATO. “

Trump needs the European bases and support. Maybe we should all threaten to tell him to pull out? Even if we back down there is no guarantee that we can rely on Trump if it comes down to nukes.

This is the problem with narcissists, particularly a malignant narcissist. It doesn’t matter how much you suck up to them, what you give them, how you please them, the clock sets back to zero the next day and it all starts again. His second state visit here is long forgotten and counts for nothing now. If we give in to his demands again there will be more in future. Time to man up in Europe. If only we were part of a economic union with the rest of Europe eh?
-
Trump will put 10% tariffs on all goods from us Denmark etc from 1st February if we don’t back down about Greenland. From 1st June the tariffs will be increased to 25%. WAC Putin will be throwing another party tonight.

Sounds like the smart money is on Kate Hoey as the Labour defector. She will fit right in with Farage.

A decent summary of where we are and how we got here. If you don’t want to read the whole thing, the author sums up Trump perfectly with this quote. ”Trump doesn’t have any overarching strategic policy or goal. He is motivated by showmanship, vengeance and self-aggrandisement.” https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2026/jan/16/trump-war-iran

Interesting that there should be such a big difference between 5’11” and 6’ for the CH position. I’m just under 6’ and played at CH for a number of seasons. The players I marked were usually a bit taller than me but through positioning and timing I was rarely beaten in the air. If a park player can do it you would think that a professional defender could be coached to do it effectively. At least they should be coached to make it difficult for the other guy. We seem to give away a lot of free headers through poor marking. Is that because we mark zonally?

You originally said Marxist Fascist not Communist Fascist. Outed again. Must do better! -
You are unravelling faster than Trump. I am not “rumming” anywhere. I don’t drink rum. There must be plenty of English teachers in Thailand. Go and find one and ask them what hyperbole and figuratively speaking mean. As for Trump, the world would be a better and safer place without the likes of him, Putin and Netanyahu, none of whom give a toss about the lives of the very people they are meant to serve and protect. If you have a problem with that statement it says a lot more about you than it does me. To paraphrase the brilliant Mark Twain, whilst I don’t wish death on anybody, I am greatly looking forward to reading the obituaries of these three murderous, lawless bastards. As for voting, do I think that the world would be a far better place if the fathers of those who vote for people like Trump and Farage wore condoms more frequently when they were younger, I would have to say yes. Sadly, we are where we are and, through history, live with the consequences of the people who vote for these disgraceful examples of the human race. I hope that we now understand each other? Rather than worrying about my attitude to would be dictators, you should be more concerned that you spend more time calling out a complete stranger on a football forum and seemingly no time at all calling out the disgusting behaviour of some of the people who are voted in for public service. Maybe it is you who should be calling out your own moral values?
-
It seems like his “friends” in the Middle East outside of Israel have persuaded him to put his TACO cap on.
-
This should be mailed to everyone who votes for Reform, including people who think it would be funny to vote for Reform just to wind up people on a football forum.

I don’t know if this is true but I read that Ross, the ICE shooter, has received $1m from a GoFundMe page??? https://www.forbes.com/sites/maryroeloffs/2026/01/13/gofundme-for-ice-agent-who-killed-renee-good-is-soaring-amid-calls-to-take-it-down/

Jenrick has said in an interview today that his defection to Reform has nothing to do with personal ambition. Of course it hasn’t “Honest Bob.” 🤥

To paraphrase AI - The term ‘Marxist Fascist’ is not a real or coherent political ideology. It combines two ideas that are fundamentally opposed. When people use it they are usually confused or misinformed. Both words sum up the poster perfectly.
