I agree about Benali. He seemed to be constantly scoring own goals, making gaffes that led to goals or getting sent off. I’m not sure what the problem with ID cards is. They have them in other democratic countries and we have passports, driving licences, NI numbers, NHS numbers. It would make perfect sense to collate all of our information in one place and I’m sure that will happen at some time in the future. Is having an ID card any worse than having our identity checked where ever we go by biometrics, let alone being filmed on CCTV or door bell cams?
