The big concern I have is that people like you have a vote. The good news is that there is little to chose between both parties so hopefully they will scupper each other’s hopes of f**king the country again.

He probably wears a MAGA hat already. Anyone who thinks that Farage is the answer and who pretends that he doesn’t understand the difference between right and far right is prime meat for Trump’s agenda. The goods news is that the polls are reflecting a shrinking of support for Tories 2.0. You have to feel sorry for anyone right of centre. Where do you vote? Badenoch’s discredited and washed out Tories or Farage’s even more corrupt and washed up Tories whose grifting leader says “Never Trust A Tory.” You would like to think that those left with any shred of integrity will either stay at home at the next election or vote LibDem.

The least surprising piece of news for a long time … https://www.ft.com/content/991213ae-dab4-44ad-86eb-48045f97de96 They are tailor made for each other and will make Reform an even more disreputable party than it currently is. Farage will have to watch his back.

This is what the “weather” did to the sea wall a few miles from here last week. https://www.folkestone-hythe.gov.uk/news/article/393/storm-goretti-folkestone-hythe-update A bit of “weather” also ended this man’s life. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c79rqdv9xxlo.amp They issue weather warnings for a reason.

Trump isn’t strong on history. Nor are ICE apparently https://abcnews.go.com/amp/US/wireStory/oglala-sioux-tribe-tribal-members-arrested-minneapolis-ice-129186393.

The US have actively been reducing the presence in their base in Greenland for a while now. Not sure how that sits with Trump’s position. Perhaps he should be talking to them about increasing the US presence again rather than threatening them?

One step at a time. We haven’t got Duckie out of the 60’s yet, let’s not even start with the 70’s yet.

What has this got to do with Iran? You kicked off because we weren’t talking about Iran so you got your thread on the subject, now you are posting about Greenland on the Iran thread. Sort yourself out man. As for Mandelson, is that the same guy who was besties with Trump’s pimp?

US citizens in Iran have been told by their government to leave. Meanwhile I bet that the Iranian women are looking forward to being referred to as “chicks” again.

The Americans have a history of riding in hung ho, shooting up the town without an exit strategy and leaving the people either no better off or worse off. That was before this buffoon and his idiotic bunch of “advisors” became involved. What makes you think this would be any different? As for your last paragraph, I have said to you and your laughing boy wingman many times that I don’t support any extremist regimes or factions. Why would I have a different opinion about the current Iranian regime?

A third question for you Ralph. How do you think the American intervention in Afghanistan went?
-
There are many dodgy regimes around the world that, in an ideal world, would not be in power. We spend a lot of time criticising one particular one and that seems to upset some posters. A few reasons why that is. We have a “special relationship” with one of them. One of them is the most powerful nation on the planet and is the biggest player in NATO, the organisation that protects our security. Its currency has a huge effect on our own economy. When the American economy sneezes, the rest of the world catches a cold, remember that phrase? We share huge cultural references. It was once a part of the British Empire. We share the same language. We share the same religion as nations. For over a century we have supported each other in armed conflicts around the world. Get the picture yet? Oh, and Brett, you obviously missed James O’Brien has condemned the current Iranian regime. He has also expressed concern over what might happen with American intervention given their previous experiences in armed incursions into the Middle East (especially now the current President is a deranged idiot with zero understanding of geopolitical politics, any sense of morality and only driven by what’s in it for him and the $).

It’s the law of averages and don’t forget that even a stopped clock is right twice a day! Who knows, maybe Ralph will be along in a minute to tell us that Trump is a hypocrite for supporting free speech in Iran but suppressing it in his own country? Then again….
-
Two questions to Ralph. 1. What have you got against blue hair? 2. Why don’t you show the same concern about Donald Trump’s administration killing their own citizens? (Shouldn't you be calling for the UN to take greater action? Isn’t it their job?)
-
Interesting that she said that you don’t get to change the facts you don’t like. That is precisely what she does here. As for working to keep the American people safe…really?

The defenders of human rights or American Imperialists? ”We live in the real world that is governed by strength, that is governed by force, that is governed by power. These are the iron laws of the world since the beginning of time.” Stephen Miller, Trump’s Deputy Chief of Staff. Ralph/nic, do you think that Trump should intervene and force Orban to stand down in support of the people? https://www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2025/12/13/hungary-protesters-demand-pm-viktor-orban-quits-over-child-abuse-cases

If Trump was genuinely concerned about the human rights of the people of Iran maybe he would get more credit. Given his lack of concern about the human rights of the people he governs it is not unreasonable to wonder about his real motives (which usually involve either his own or his family’s enrichment, deflection, or any other what’s in it for me motives). If I were you Ralph/nic I would be more concerned why you feel the need to go into bat for such a vile piece of crap like Trump rather than why others focus on the the many and huge problems he is creating both at home and internationally.

I’m just surprised that he didn’t shoot the person who filmed him.
