Raven on the wing Posted 12 July, 2009 Share Posted 12 July, 2009 Anybody know what gives with Bmouth not selling beer in the stadium - presumably that is just to Saints fans ? I seem to think 2 seasons ago they closed our bar early but it would seem to be very insulting considering they were happy to take our money at the gate. If we ever play them at St Marys we should make sure they are not sold alcahol either. It was also interesting that the "friendly" attitude to refereeing towards Bmouth's players which was not shown to Darren Powell 2 years ago ! A poor game with Bart playing like a polish clown ( not Tomashevski !! ). Thomson looked bright at the start and Mills shows promise, but a great turnout of Saints fans in the rain. Junction 9 Posted 12 July, 2009 Share Posted 12 July, 2009 Knew this would happen so sat in the West stand. All bars open.
eelpie Posted 12 July, 2009 Share Posted 12 July, 2009 Well, St Mary's only sells Tetleys, which I don't rank as a beer worthy of the name..
beatlesaint Posted 12 July, 2009 Share Posted 12 July, 2009 Given the presence of the yoof at the back in the left hand corner singing throughout just about any bloody thing as long as they could get the f or c word in it was probably just as well !! Noticed the Police filming them mid way through the second half too !
Andy_Porter Posted 12 July, 2009 Share Posted 12 July, 2009 The police film at every game and we hardly get beer served at any games anymore. It's not a new thing, annoying but certainly got used to it after last season.

LOL! it was perfect beach wheather wasnt it! Im not having ago at you, but sounds like an excuse to me, plus theose stewards didnt have a clue what day of the week it was. They even ran out of hot food by 2.30, obv didnt realise how many of us would turn up! especially considering our takeover in the week, it was very short sited, they obviously forgoten we are still the best supported club in the south, despite our league status! scott_saints Posted 13 July, 2009 Share Posted 13 July, 2009 They treat us like it's a fierce rivalry, because they WANT it to be a fierce rivalry. Sadly for them, we don't give two s**ts about them
Jesus Reigned Posted 13 July, 2009 Share Posted 13 July, 2009 Bournemouth are clearly so wealthy that they don't need 1500 Saints fans buying beer. I was far from happy at discovering this, having been told by the what I thought was helpful programme seller outside the ground that beer was on sale inside. And I almost forgot about the Bournemouth keeper handballing outside the area, us getting the free-kick and the ref not even having a word with him; why did they even bother with a referee in that case?! Not as good a day as I hoped it would be to put it midlly, particularly as I was sat far too close to the aforementioned "yoof" and their wonderful songs.....
