Having made the mistake, for I think Norwich, last year I thought I'd remind everyone.

I found out in Homebase car park when Radio 5 were interviewing MLT on the pitch. "He's there early" I thought..... oh ********.

As I live 60 miles away it's not even possible to make the second half. Anyone else done the same?

Ha. I got all the way to Watford station this year before a call on my mobile told me the game had been called off. I had 1 beer in the station before returning to Essex.

Lol, I knew it would be off at least 24 hours before it was postponed. It was throwing it down all week !

went to Madrid for my birthday a few years back with the intention of watching Athletico. Went down to the ground on the Sunday lunchtime to get a ticket but found the stadium all shut. Thought it a bit strange, but then again thought perhaps it was the ciesta. Later that eveing as we were getting ready to go back to the ground to see if we could get a ticket from a tout etc there seemed to be lots of clips of Athletico games on the various news channels. Initially I thought it was a preview, but it turned out to be the previous evenings game - they had switched it a week or so before to Saturday, which I later found out was quite common in Spain.

I did it the other way last season. I left Hamble at 5:30 to go to Woolston for an evening game. When I got to the car park it was empty so I checked that the parking regulations hadn't changed, then checked my diary for the date, then realised that I was one hour early. I'd left at the same time that I leave to go to my evening class, not when I leave to go to the football. At least I had the opportunity to sample the food and drink that are on offer before the match.
