If you can walk as far as the Chapel Arms, you can pre-book a parking space from the club for either the carpark behind the pub, or for Basepoint just past the Chapel, it was £6.50 last season.

Yes, i looked into this and spoke to the club. however they wanted the 130 for season upfront & wont do it on a game by game basis, having forked out for my season ticket this week I can't do that

I used this car park last season on an ad-hoc basis with my daughter who has mobility problems, it is known as Car Park I. I suppose it is about a quarter of a mile, but is flat.

We booked through Sarah Draper at the club, I have found she is extremely helpfull.

Hi,

If you drive past the ground as if going out of Southampton, straight across the mini roundabout, past the garages until you get to a sharp bend in the road - just before that bend - there is a council run car park (on right) which charges £2 for 4 hours parking.

It is about 400-600 yards to the ground from there - fills up by 14:00.

I'm surprised at that. I occasionally park here when I take a disabled friend, and have always bought tickets from the ticket office on a game-by-game basis. We last did it for the Ajax game.

It's obvious we need our own railway station so that these parking problems don't arise.

Also away fans would come directly to the stadium perhaps avoiding potential problems that can sometimes happen. Perhaps Mr Liebherr should be asked about the possibility, after all he does own a huge engineering company. By the way,I took the spelling of his name from the front of our fridge having bought a Liebherr fridge and freezer about two years ago!

I don't think we need a railway station. Southampton Central is only a 15 minute walk, and there are free buses from the station to the ground anyway.

A station would cost an absolute fortune and cause a lot of logistical problems around existing train services, just to be used by a couple of thousand people 20 odd times a year.
