Has this now officially been awarded to Lambert? Pardew made mention of it being Lambert's goal vs Rovers and the Echo says, in the article below, that Papa got his first for the club on Saturday:

Not according to the BBC commentary on Saturday night. Lambert's seventh and Waigo's 2nd in two games. I think although the replays show the ball crossed the line, the officials didn't give it and played on. If that was the case it's Waigo's goal because they can't retrospectively change referees' decisions.

Apologies: Lambert is on 6.

The bloke who sits next to me in the Itchen knows someone who was close to the lino and apparently he signalled a goal from Lambert's header.

I don't know if that applies to goals; there used to be a 'dubious goals committee' - not sure if that still exists and/or was just for the Prem. I'm sure they robbed Egil of his hat-trick goal vs Man Utd, claiming it was a Gary Neville o.g.

Looking at the coverage on Saints Player, the ball appears to be over the line but it's one of those debatable calls which are frequently not given.

As for who is credited with the goal, it has to be Papa, as the referee played on.

Well done for playing to the whistle IMO.

I think they also robbed Jason Dodd of one against the skates, when he put it in straight from a corner & it was given as an own goal as it deflected off someones head.

From what I remember, the linesman was miles behind the play when Lambert's header hit the bar!

I was looking at him to signal the goal but he gave nothing.

Slightly bemised, I looked back to the pitch, and thankfully the ball was in the net!
