VectisSaint Posted 7 October, 2009 Share Posted 7 October, 2009 How many players does it take before a team is entitled to postpone a game because of internatinal call ups. With the news today that Jake Thomson will be with the Soca Warriors at the weekend) and possibly Schneiderlin and Saga unavailable (the latter being no great loss IMHO) it must be getting near the point where we have some entitlement, technically, to postpone. I realise of the 3 only Spiderman is a regular at the moment. I assume there is a ruling for this just curious what it is. Are James, Jaidi and Papa involved in internationals? Mellis and Preen are also u19s I believe, not sure if they are playing this weekend or not though.

One call up is apparently all that's required to make the request, however. For the record... Saga - Poland Thomson - T&T Papa Waigo - Senegal (played 4/6 World Cup 2010 qualifiers) Schneiderlin - France U-19s (poss now U-21s) Lloyd James is not in Wales U-21s any more though he's eligible for Euro 2012 U-21s, and he's not in the full squad McLaggon is a Welsh U-21 when fit Ryan Doble is on standby for the current Wales U-21 squad Jaidi hasn't played for Tunisia since February. Lallana and Preen both have U-21 and u-19 call-ups for England and Wales respectively. Even semi-pro internationals can lead to postponements : http://www.wrexhamafc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10311~1442528,00.html Edited 7 October, 2009 by The9
