What a difference 6 months have made.

From the brink of going out of existence to now being one of the biggest movers in the Jan transfer window, and for a change with incoming players rather than selling the family jewels

 

Who would have thought we'd hear players from the division above us either being gutted at not being able to join us (Ward at Coventry) to Jose's 'his quickest route to The premiership

 

It would be an incredible acheivement if we were able to get to The Play Offs, but with the new signings added to the depth of the squad, a few good victories would add to the self belief that the players already have and will certainly have all the teams above us looking over their shoulders.

 

It should make for an exciting next few months with AP basically knowing that draws aren't of any use we need wins and lots of them :smt023

 

One of the biggest problems is the opposition treating their matches against us as their ''cup final' and playing out of their skins to beat us.

 

Lets hope the blank weekend and break in Spain has given the players a chance to recharge their batteries for the mammoth task ahead.

If my ears heard correctly earlier, Sky SPorts were saying that in the top 3 English divisions, only £7 million has been spent on players so far. That makes the Fonte signing look even better, that we can afford players even when others can't.

 

They reckon the lack of money paid out is because of the financial climate, but I think it's simply due to the weather. Snow is an arse. Besides which, still half the month still to go!
