ladysaint Posted 2 February, 2010 Share Posted 2 February, 2010 I am sure that I have used their supporters club before but quite a lot of options in the town centre as well.
Sour Mash Posted 2 February, 2010 Share Posted 2 February, 2010 There is a massive and fairly decent Wetherspoons within walking distance of the ground. I'd recommend that.

exeter_saint Posted 2 February, 2010 Share Posted 2 February, 2010 the big wetherspoons is a fair walk from the ground. Lots of options in the main high street, but the bowling green, henrys bar and the duke of york are all home and away friendly and less than 5 mins from the ground

Andy_Porter Posted 2 February, 2010 Share Posted 2 February, 2010 Porters Bar across from Exeter St Davis station great little bar! Think I'll be there getting into Exeter St Davids at 11.10 Can't see why anyone would waste there time in a Weatherspoons we've got plenty in Southampton and they're all rubbish. This particular one isn't like a town centre pub though, we drank there before the cup game last season after getting off at st davids, might have helped being a summers day but was a really nice pub with good choice of beers, a bit of a walk from the ground but not a bad place to start, worth a visit just to see the building. http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/the-imperial

(Like I'm gonna go a flippin' Wetherspoon's in my home town, when pretty much every other pub is better than it.)
La BoIS Saint Posted 3 February, 2010 Share Posted 3 February, 2010 This particular one isn't like a town centre pub though, we drank there before the cup game last season after getting off at st davids, might have helped being a summers day but was a really nice pub with good choice of beers, a bit of a walk from the ground but not a bad place to start, worth a visit just to see the building. http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/the-imperialNot sure why the derision. The Imperial is a quality establishment and when I visited they certainly had some decent ales. Worth a visit just to look at the place, the best Spoons I have seen. Locals told me that Tim Martin drinks there so it's not going to be ****.

Fair old walk from the ground, many more watering holes closer to ground.
