Excellent stuff. I thought that was that after the first series, or 3rd if you include Life on Mars. Judging by the short trailer I've just seen, there may be a meshing of the two.

I thought Life on Mars was excellent but Ashes to Ashes really failed to live up to it's predecessor.

 

I expect more guff from the new series. And the bird is so annoying and possibly the worst actress of all time.

Well there we go, all brought to a satisfying conclusion with the door just left cracked open should they pick it up again.

 

Absolutely the best, most imaginative drama/sci-fi/multi-genre series (including Life on Mars) that I have ever seen in all my TV viewing life.

I agree. Great ending. I will miss it. I really do hope they don't make another series though. Surely it would be impossible knowing we are fully aware of what the 'world' really is.

The last few episodes were painfully drawn out, and I just wanted it to hurry up and die, but then the ending surprised me by actually being reasonably well thought out.

 

Plot holes a-plenty though.
