In the unlikely event that we'll be in the play-off final next May - I'm still convinced we'll get auto promotion no matter who we have as manager - the League 1 & 2 play-off finals won't be at Wembley. Just saw this on the bbc website.......

Cos the Champions League Final is at Wembley ............

It will be the first time the new Wembley has hosted Europe's most prestigious club game, although the old Wembley staged the final of the competition - then known as the European Cup - five times, most recently in 1992 when Barcelona beat Sampdoria to lift the trophy for the first time.

Under Uefa regulations, no games can be played at final venues for two weeks beforehand, to allow the preparation of the stadium.

That has already caused a headache as it means a clash with the Football League play-off weekend.

The Championship play-off will be played at Wembley on the Bank Holiday Monday, 48 hours after the Champions League final, while the FA has reached an agreement with the Football League for the League One and Two games to be played at alternative venues.

Guess they will be played at the Emirates then.

Would be sensible to see who the teams are and make a decision from there; so either Emirates for southern teams or Old Trafford for Northern teams. But then this is the Football League, so common sense would go out of the window in that case....

Southampton V Brighton/Cherries at Old Trafford then.

Millenium stadium?

For League 1 or 2 it's not so critical to have such a huge stadium; take the JPT final as an example where Carlisle only brought 20 odd thousand supporters. Only the likes of us, Sheff Wed and Charlton would justify the need for more than 30k tickets each. 60K at Emirates would be plenty for most sides.
