marc_saint Posted 9 September, 2010 Share Posted 9 September, 2010 1200 tickets for the Arkells Stand were snapped up and Saints took a further allocation of approximately 1,600 on the Stratton Bank, so far approximately 1,000 have been sold, leaving around 600 that will be unlikely to be sold out by the close of business on Friday so will be returned to Swindon and available on the turnstiles. Cost will be £18 for adults & £14 for Senior Citizens , Students and young adults 16-21, those under 16 can get in for £11.
dannysfc Posted 9 September, 2010 Share Posted 9 September, 2010 I will be there marc_saint and it will be my first time at the County Ground which should be Good and Fingers Crossed that we will come out with the win but we will see! What is the closest pub to the ground as well as I am thinking of getting a drink before the game as well? Thanks! Also here are my predictions: 1). With New Manager: Swindon 1-2/3 Saints! 2). Without New Manager: Swindon 2/3-1 Saints! COYS!!

marc_saint Posted 10 September, 2010 Author Share Posted 10 September, 2010 What is the closest pub to the ground as well as I am thinking of getting a drink before the game as well? The nearest pub to the ground (for saints fans) is the Merlin on Drive Road. About a ten minute walk to the ground. (Dont bother with the County Ground pub right by the ground as you wont get a warm welcome! Another option if you are coming by car is to park at the cricket ground nextdoor(£5 to park) and drink in the pavillion. Quite nice if there's a cricket match actually going on. JRM Posted 10 September, 2010 Share Posted 10 September, 2010 Anyone who wants a bit more info on the day out this is not a bad guide - http://www.footballgroundguide.com/swindon_town/ According to the guide that stratton bank holds 2100, so if we have only sold 1000 of that there will be loads of empty space on the day....... Plus, I think you can get together you can get 4 for the price of 2 "group save" on the train from Southampton to Swindon, worth checking at the station. get yourselves up there.
