SNSUN Posted 28 September, 2010 Share Posted 28 September, 2010 No, when the insurance documents come through, go and buy it from that point on. I completely didn't realise when I bought my car that it didn't come with tax. I'm not a good buyer, a seller's wet dream, so having bought my car I couldn't even use it until the insurance documents came through. (Although I did drive it home from the car lot, sh!tting my pants the whole way in case I was stopped.) What's worse, when I test drove it, there was a full tank of petrol in it, by the time I took it off the car lot, I have 30 miles worth of petrol left in the tank. Cheating bastards. I should've used that in my negotiations but hey ho, I've learned for next time.
