Arsenal in Second Gear

I thought at times yesterday we played some glorious football played just like Arsenal to feet. The only difference is that Arsenal do it at a much higher tempo. Is that the way we are going to play under Adkins ?

I thought first 25 mins and last 20mins we were awesome. I think most teams in our league will struggle to contain us regardless of how many men they put behind the ball.We now have enough belief in our passing to break teams down in the last third of the pitch, something I don't think we had under Pardew and with more time spent on fitness and passing under NA this team will win the league by a country mile. There were a lot of nice touches in and around the Tranmere box yesterday that on another day would have yeilded 3 or 4 goals before halftime. Somebody soon is in for a thrashing if we cam maintain the standard of passing. Also it was a joy to watch Kelvin rolling the ball to his two centre backs instead of a big hopeful punt up field. no, we are going to play percentage football, long and high as often as possible into a couple of big lumps with no skill up front but good at knocking it down three on rushing midfielders who are a poor mans Vinnie Jones. We are only knocking it around and playing football now to tray and fool the opposition as to how we really intend to play.

It would appear that yes, this is NA's style. If it continues in this vein I think the league will be ours and we'll truly be set for the nPC. It will be interesting to see how NA develops the squad from January onwards. If there's money to be spent as reported, who will he be bringing in and letting go I wonder? The only players I can think of that might exit could be...Pulis (obviously), Connolly (just not fit enough and hence no consistent goal threat). Will Dickson want to stay - he's not even making the bench now?
