I was at West Brom and I was at Preston today. We've pissed away 90 minutes off football in less than a week, just as well have not shown up. Rescued a point on Tuesday, but cocked it right up today - against the worst team in the league. Supposedly, our aim is to win the league, nothing more, nothing less.... no chance, absolutely no chance. We need to be much stronger all over the pitch, Leo needs to stop falling over, and get his mojo back, run at players, go past players. We seemed totally surprised that Preston decided to have a go in the first half, and they had the temerity to even bloody score. For all of our possession and good play in the second half we really only threatened with a few long range efforts, we just didn't create anything of note. We look toothless up front, Dobbin and Mubama are both sub standard and very easily marshalled - is it really possible to get a quality striker in during the mid season transfer window, I'm not so sure. Anyway, it's been a shit day, long drive home, I'm off to kick the cat and get a beer. We are not auto promotion candidates, strap yourselves in for the lottery of the playoffs, again.

At the game. That was worse than the first half against WBA, we wilt when it gets remotely physical. This is effectively top against the bottom, and you really wouldn't think that we were anywhere near the top. Need a massive improvement in the second half to get anything out of this (I don't think that's gonna happen). Lose this and it will be a massive now to any real promotion aspirations we may have. Crap first half, big 45 coming up.

Was at the game last night and watched Mubama closely during the pre match warm up, his finishing was shocking. He must have scuffed at least half of the efforts he had during the shooting session, and missed the target on numerous occasions. No opponents, no pressure and he struggled to put a decent effort on target. The point being, if I can see this during a short warm up session, surely the manager and coaching staff can see it as well. I want the guy to do well, nothing stuck to him during the match and he was nothing more than a passenger last night.

Some of the commentators on Claret and Booze are losing their minds over today's result. I thought that the numpties on Arsenal TV were away with the fairies but this lot give them a run for their money. According to this guy, every single team in the championship is shyte and west spam should be beating everybody 6 nil. Comedy gold.

They don't look miles better, they are miles better. Can't see lightening striking twice and them dropping off as they did last year. I think the stick they took last season is galvanising them this year, can't see anything other than autos.

And even if they do relegate them to League 2, all this does is compound the problem. City are big enough and easily rich enough to keep a very good squad and quickly work their way back through the leagues. So essentially demotion to the lower league negatively impacts every other team because essentially one of the available promotion places has already gone. They'd probably go straight back to the Premiere League within 4 seasons to the detriment of all the other EFL teams.

It won't destroy his career at all. He may not be able to operate in this country but there will be no end of takers in other countries. Once you get past the faux outage stoked by both social and the mainstream media, the 'crime' was nowhere near as bad as was made out. The fools at the FA can ban him all they like, but the bottom line is TE is a very good coach and will very easily find another good job outside of the FAs jurisdiction. Our loss would be everyone else's gain.

I could see it, you could see it, the question is why the fuck can't professional coaches and managers. Lincoln were probably picking their lips at the thought of us going 3atb, pump the balls into the box knowing that they would win at least one header. We got lucky to get out with a point at the end, bloody awful display.

When you're struggling to beat Lincoln, you're nowhere near good enough for promotion. We got very lucky that one bit of quality went for us. Other than that we were very, very ineffective and struggled with the physicality. Can't see us being anywhere near autos with performances like that.

Woeful. There go the first two points. We'll struggle to keep the last point, absolute crap.

I think it's fair to say that our quality is not shining through...!

Kev has a silky left foot, and it would appear is decent in the air. But, his right foot is for standing on only, had a few dodgy moments on his weaker side. Peretz needs to up his game, his kicking off the floor was poor on numerous occasions tonight, we got lucky that they didn't take advantage. All in all though, away point at a decent side, can't knock it.

Total and utter dog shit. Got schooled in our own back yard by their kids, and then when they bought on the guns we completely folded. The Stephens love affair has to stop now, he is a woeful defender, leader and footballer. I can't see us anywhere near the promotion places after that debacle, I didn't see any players sweating blood for the manager today, in fact in the last 10 minutes the body language was awful. Club needs a major overhaul, maybe top eight is a blessing in disguise for us. Absolute crap performance, thankfully the ground was only half full.

The bottom line is if our defenders had defended properly and attacked properly we would have won the game 3 nil. But they didn't.

A footballing 'masterclass' by Cap'n Jack has us firmly up shyte creek without a paddle. Woeful display.
