I get why people are upbeat that we won't get 'the record' but in the cold light of day that has been nothing but a disasterous season.

We'll do nothing of note next season either. Our 'target' this season has been to try to get more than 11 points, absolutely nobody next season will be worried about playing our lot, home or away. Next seasons 'highlights' will probably consist of 2 draws against the skates. I can barely wait.

I think you're looking at it through rose tints, I agree, the championship is a much lower standard, but we're not even at that standard, evidenced by our 'performances' this season. Burnley came and beat us at SMS, we caused them no problems at all. What very little talent we have will go before next season, and let's be honest our recruitment of players over the last half dozen years has been woeful.

'Fighting' is not a trait I have seen in any of the players this season, you 'fight' to avoid relegation, you 'fight' to avoid the ultimate embarrassment of being the worst team ever. We showed no 'fight' at all, yet you think they'll 'fight' for promotion. Sorry, but I'm going to have to disagree, most of these players very, very easily have the 'fight' knocked out of them.

I think you're right, if we do manage to survive next season, we will quickly become a mid table championship outfit like many other ex prem teams. Fixing this mess is going to take somebody like Markus to rock up again, and I really can't see that happening anytime soon with this mess.
