marc_saint Posted 2 November, 2010 Share Posted 2 November, 2010 My nephew has just returned from a college trip to Japan (With Barten Peverill college) and has bought a few games for his PS2. Unfortunately he didn't realise that they are region set (much like DVD's). Does anyone know how to get his PS2 unlocked so that they can be played rather than just being a waste of money? Saint_clark Posted 5 November, 2010 Share Posted 5 November, 2010 No idea unfortunately but more likely to find someone who knows in the Computer Games section.
The9 Posted 5 November, 2010 Share Posted 5 November, 2010 You used to be able to get them chipped to play any region disks - I had mine done in order to play Winning Eleven PS2 games from Japan, but not sure anyone would still remember how to do that / bother to advertise it. There was also a method of opening the disk tray and fooling the PS2 into thinking it was playing a UK game by switching the game, "swap disk" or something. Johnny Shearer Posted 20 November, 2010 Share Posted 20 November, 2010 Get an Action Replay, that does the trick I think.
