TijuanaTim Posted 23 April, 2011 Share Posted 23 April, 2011 We dropped loads of points conceding late ones huh? This year (or is it under NA) we're gaining loads thru' late goals... Is it a Pardew deficiency Nige coulda recognized and reversed??? Incoming.

St Chalet Posted 23 April, 2011 Share Posted 23 April, 2011 Obsess much? 66 mins "whole of the second half", enough said, end of FAF I actually said,"Pretty much the whole of the second half" eg the majority. The median of a half of football is 22.5 minutes, therefore 45 + 22.5 = 67.5. My point being, 66 is not late. Anyway, I happen to agree with you that a big difference this year is that we have started to score second half goals as opposed to concede them. Potentially this is an Adkins / fitness thing. Deano6 Posted 23 April, 2011 Share Posted 23 April, 2011 Fair play to you, Tijuana Tim, for admitting that you were being ridiculous last season and that all teams both benefit and lose out from late goals. It takes a big man to recognise he was being stupid, and I was probably among those last year being overly harsh saying you wouldn't do so. Saint_clark Posted 24 April, 2011 Share Posted 24 April, 2011 If you score a goal in the 66th and win 1-0, you don't say that you snatched a win late on, do you?
positivepete Posted 25 April, 2011 Share Posted 25 April, 2011 Yet, despite not scoring as many goals in the first half, we have won all fourteen games we have been ahead in at half time http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D2/winht.html
