I thought that parts of his commentary were good but could not believe it when he said that Sheffield Wednesday have not beaten us since 1998 when Carbone scored the winner. I am not sure if that game was away or not (maybe he should have said we've been unbeaten at home) but did I just imagine our 5-0 defeat last season? :p

Will Cope does do a bit of work for some foreign satellite channels as I heard him commentate on a Hull City game recently.

At HOME perhaps..?

Will Cope is a fine commentator, although you wouldn't believe it from the comments we occasionally get on here about him. Alex Stand-in wasn't bad at all.

Besides, anyone can make mistakes. I heard the prize idiot commentator himself John Motson say that a particular team hadn't beaten Portsmouth for 50 years. And not one mention of the fact that neither team had been in the same league for 45 or more of them.

Driving home from the game listening to 'The Third Half' phone-in David Armstrong skillfully managed to agree with every call made to him . If you thought we were a rubbish side deep in a relegation fight dave would concur , if you thought we've a talented young team on the verge of greatness dave will agree with that too - he really should consider a career in politics as he's wasted in football .

He missed pronounced Simon Gillett's name which was enough for me.

Noticed that as well, and thought it very odd, but to be honest apart from that he was actually very good. Much better than the bloke last week who was truly appalling, and probably better overall than Will Can't Cope, who makes too many mistakes and fawns to his co-commentator far too much.
