LGTL Posted 4 January, 2009 Share Posted 4 January, 2009 And concentrate on Barnsley and Doncaster. Possibly the two biggest games in years. Lets hope we get good crowds at both, espicially Donny, because boy are we going to need it. Massive couple of games.
SamyCM Posted 4 January, 2009 Share Posted 4 January, 2009 Agreed bad day at the office. Hopefully the performance will put put behind them and the lads will come out fighting.
Scoobysaint Posted 4 January, 2009 Share Posted 4 January, 2009 Agreed. Never ever gonna win the cup. Least we got a bumper home draw and made a few quid. Could have gone out to some lower league club and be in an even worse position!
gordonToo Posted 4 January, 2009 Share Posted 4 January, 2009 Some might call that denial. Failure to gain at least 3 points from the Barnsley and Doncaster games will surely sound the death knell for this crazy experiment.
southamptonfclegend Posted 4 January, 2009 Share Posted 4 January, 2009 I think today wasn't that bad we were beaten first goal was offside second goal wasn't a penalty and sending off was harsh we didn't create enough but we had ten man we were playing man utd get behind the team!!!!!!!! 1576 Posted 5 January, 2009 Share Posted 5 January, 2009 Watched bits of the Gillingham v Villa game and have to say at least Villa know they have been in a game. That was what you usually see from a lower league team playing in the cup "having a right good go as they say". from what i saw don't think united would think the same. West End Saint Posted 5 January, 2009 Share Posted 5 January, 2009 Good idea we were never gonna beat untd most prem teams get done 3 or 4 glad the distraction is out of the way we have much bigger games coming up Barnsley Donny and Norwich it would be nice to see a few thousand extra through the doors to get behind the lads this month will define the season if we are in the bottom 3 at the end of Jan I think we will go down we need a massive effort by everyone connected with the club to ensure this dont happen COYR

It's fine for people to say "It was Man Utd...we were hardly going to win were we?" when there was none of that 'lower league club - put the willies up them' spirit in evidence. It suggests an underlying lack of team spirit at the club.
