hypochondriac Posted 21 January, 2009 Share Posted 21 January, 2009 Thought it deserved a thread of its own: For those not on facebook someone has posted this proposal... On Saturday, 31 January 2009, there will be a protest from the park opposite K.F.C in the town centre, down to the ground. The walk down to the ground will start at 13.30pm. We do ask if possible for you to be there at 13.15pm just so we know how many people will be attending. We will then protest outside the ground for about 15-20 minutes before going into the ground. We also ask that if you have yet to get a ticket that you purchase one for the Northam or the Itchen and not the Chapel or the Kingsland. Banners/ sings are welcome if you can get them into the ground. I know you will have other questions and I will try to answer them. Please leave a comment below or add me at simon_hampshire@hotmail.com and I will talk to you there. WE ALSO ASK YOU FOR 3 THINGS!!! 1. NO VIOLENCE!! 2. A LETTER ADDRESSED TO MR LOWE THAT YOU WILL THROW ON THE PITCH AT THE END. INSIDE THE LETTER WRITE WHY YOU ARE PROTESTING. (YOU DON’T HAVE TO) 3. DONT GO ON THE PROTEST IF YOU DONT WANT LOWE OUT. Didcot Saint Posted 21 January, 2009 Share Posted 21 January, 2009 Better that EVERYONE stays outside the ground for the first 15 mins of the match as a sign of protest. This should be a call to all supporters.
benjii Posted 21 January, 2009 Share Posted 21 January, 2009 I agree with Didcot. This protest plan is a bit flacid IMO.
exit2 Posted 21 January, 2009 Share Posted 21 January, 2009 Be in the ground by 2? Stuff that, what about the final pre-match pintage. If you are going to be outside before the game you need to be there when all the directors get there i.e Richards, Askham etc, which is about 12.

As for getting there on their timetable.... better to make them leave on the crowd's timetable IMO.

rocknrollman no2 Posted 21 January, 2009 Share Posted 21 January, 2009 Or you can wait for the corporates to come out after the game and give them some abuse as well. You just might get lucky and catch one or two board members scurrying back under their rocks.

SimonRichards Posted 21 January, 2009 Share Posted 21 January, 2009 It has also been suggested that all people who want to march in protest should meet up at the Guildhall.
