If teams give us more than the 2000 they are obliged to then we will allow them to have additional tickets at St Mary's. Any team that refuses will just get the bare minimum. Not 100% sure how it works in terms of whether those unallocated away seats will be able to be sold to home fans or not, given the hard barrier on either side of the away end now. I think generally most teams take the approach IF they can sell to their own fans due to demand they do and limit sales to away fans as the minimum, but if demand from home fans isn't there then just makes sense to offer more to away, like Sheffield Wednesday who also charge scandalous prices. Will be interesting to see what we charge away fans this season without the Premier League cap to consider, such a shame reciprocated pricing limits never really took off in the championship

Bristol and Cardiff are closer, the London clubs half the distance. As a member, I'd say OK for most home games but little chance of most aways other than some of the long trips up north (particularly midweek). And next to no chance for skates, Oxford, and probably any game south of Stoke. Plymouth's ground capacity is tiny so they only gave us about 1,000 tickets. And while it isn't physically close, it's that perception of being on the south coast so easily reachable.

Hull away in September. Went to Hull a few years ago, think it was when Puel was manager, they were as good as down, we were crap and lost, 2-1 i think probably barely had 1000 up there. Horrible place and nightmare to get to Also Boro is on a Sunday which might put many off for loads of different reasons.

I don’t want to go all MLG on you but we got around 1,700 tickets last time and, tbh, I’d rather the 150 mile+ drive to Brum than the usual slow slog down to the depths of Devon…not so many tractors, caravans and tourists heading for the West Midlands!

August is a time to avoid Devon and Cornwall. 1
Pamplemousse Posted June 29 Posted June 29 Loved that Plymouth away game. Perfect weather, perfect result. I'm sure like others do I absolutely love the coast and had a great afternoon celebrating our result whilst looking out across the sea down there. Glorious. 1
Pamplemousse Posted June 29 Posted June 29 Birmingham away on the Monday after Christmas as well. Not ideal.

If I type how much I love spending time at the Hoe, I suspect it may be misinterpreted on this forum…. 3

Last time first two away trips were top, Sheff Wed on a Friday night didn't we take 3500, late Che Adams winner, then down to Plymouth which was a tough game but same result again or was it Tella who scored
Neil Posted Friday at 11:32 Posted Friday at 11:32 Re Membership: Reasonable to guess/assume that the following away games likely sell out to Season Ticket Holders: Ipswich, Watford, Bristol C, London games, Oxford, Norwich, Pompey, Swansea, Wrexham But members may get a chance for some midlands / northern trips? NB - Preston potentially popular & sold out to ST holders, as last day of season? Sheff U, Brum & Boro a bit less attractive trips due to the days and times?

Bristol city might make members sale if they give us over 3k again (it's midweek again) also Ipswich might due to being midday Sunday on tv. Will really depend on tv picks and size of allocation given, they'll almost certainly make members sale for Hull, Sheff Wed, Sheff Utd, Blackburn, Middlesbrough, Preston (unless we're winning the league) , Norwich. Rest will almost certainly sell out to season ticket holders regardless of tv date / time. 1
Football Special Posted Friday at 12:06 Posted Friday at 12:06 Actually Derby seem to give over 3k should make members sale as will Birmingham and WBA being midweek I think, Leicester usually give 3k that would likely make it to members 1
EssEffCee Posted Friday at 14:45 Author Posted Friday at 14:45 I think aways will sell quite quickly first half of the season particularly as everybody gets their credits up for Fratton. Obviously depends on how we're doing too. 1
