BadgerBadger Posted 30 January, 2009 Share Posted 30 January, 2009 He never really found his feet with us, he scored a hatfull of goals, some real crackers, for Hearts when he was left to roam around behind the strikers. I don't think he worked well on the left, especially when he played with monkey boy Bale. They never gelled and I seem to remember a bit of argy bargy over the free kicks. He always looked like a player that liked to be a big fish in a little pond and have a team built around him to perform - bit like Le Tiss I reckon Best get him off our books, save the cash and spend it on 20 lonees all under

Difficult one, he should never have been given it in the first place, so is it's value now downgraded?

If you think of some the players that wore along with MLT going as far back as Terry Paine and the below average players since, Kanchelskis way way past his best and Thomas Hito (SP). david in sweden Posted 30 January, 2009 Share Posted 30 January, 2009 When he has gone retire the number 7 shirt till such a time as we get a player fit to wear it. .....maybe we should " rest " the number 7 shirt for a while, or give it to the "Player of this Season to have for NEXT season....'though might be a bit strange if that turns out to be ......Kelvin Davis.! Being a member of " the old school " who thinks that Sean Connery was the only " real " James Bond !........ I kinda think that it only belongs to the original Terry Paine, though I'd admit MLT was a worthy successor to wear it.... after that forget it ! Both Ballie and Keegan (very worthy in their own right ) but weren't here long enough to become " legends " for the Saints fans.
