Just a shame we have so many knee-jerk melts in the fan base. I guess some slack can be cut after last season tbf.

I think we can definitely be cut some slack for the last few strikers we've signed. Larin follows illustrious names like Mara, Archer, Brereton, Downs... based on that and the glowing references from Larin's recent clubs, nobody was expecting Sports Republic to sign a decent striker.

It's not just our fan base either. Bristol City were vociferously singing "Struber's Cider Army" until about ten minutes into their match against Charlton when they took the lead, when it became "Hodgson's Cider Army". All part of the fun.

It's nice to be riding the crest of a wave for once in a long time... let's enjoy it!

I'm just a guy who likes to see our players given a chance to prove themselves before we write them off, slag them off, or just take the p*ss out of them. I'm sorry if that's an alien concept to you (and others). And yes, there were tons of people doing this. Maybe not all on this forum, but all over the Facebook groups. If someone's genuinely playing bad, fair enough (most have now moved on to Archer now that Larin has scored a few and shut them up) but Larin was slagged of without even a chance. Just a shame we have so many knee-jerk melts in the fan base. I guess some slack can be cut after last season tbf.

Oi ! supa fan, does writing it in big font make you think people will take more notice?

I bet you are one of the fans who claps like seal at everything 🤡

Fans the world over say what they see. It's often not a knee jerk reaction when criticism is dished out. Most times it's because fans have been worn down by inept performances from owners, coaches, players and those dealing with transfers. We seem to have struck gold with Tonda because his tactics work and he has a knack of getting the best out of his players. Right now it is great being a Saints fans because we are putting in a run of fantastic performances and results. We've put up with more than our share of bad times so let's enjoy this while it lasts and praise everyone involved because they deserve our plaudits.

There always have been negative fans about . Three of us moved our season tickets from the West to the East stand because we were fed up of the abuse that Paul Rideout was getting, just becuase he wasn't as quick as Rod Wallace, or as good in front of goal as Shearer.

Before that , I stood with a mate up the Archers.  He always stood in the same spot. He warned me that there was a bloke there who spend 90 minutes slagging off Steve Williams, my hero at the time. Brains of a Rocking horse was his catch phrase.

The game in question was at home to Norwich. In the 2nd half, with the score at 0-0 Williams picked up a square pass from Keegan, set of on a mazy run that beat 5 Norwich players, before he curled it round the keeper.  I gave the Williams abuser so much stick, I was lucky he didn't flatten me !

As I said, there have always been people who berate players, often with no real reason, but the internet has made it far worse.  At Christmas, I didn't like any of our team, apart from Leo. That has all changed now!

No, the large font was purely accidental as I copied and pasted from a notepad. As to whether it helps them take notice, I couldn't give a rats.

And no, no seal clapping from me, I'm actually not a happy clapper, far from it in fact.
