It would have been nice to have Kevin and THB in the same side, but finances ruled otherwise. I think that he is a step up on THB, maybe because of his experience. This shows particularly in physical battles and general leadership. Best Centre Back we have signed in ages. The only ones that have been any good since VVD are Bednarek, THB and Salisu.

I don't think it helped that nobody went wide right midfield when Masuki came off, it allowed them to push on up their left, which is where the cross came from. It was a very good cross, don't think Wood could have done anything about it, maybe nudge the forward under it, but that is all. For me, I would have prefered Fellows coming on to give us an outlet on the right, occupy their leftback and help Bree out. Horrible team though, can't remember Wimbledon or even a Howard Wilkinson side take a kick off that comes down with snow on it !

Moran was at his best playing off someone who would get the attention of the centre halfs, Keegan, Worthington Jordan. Without that ditraction he wasn't nearly as effective. I think Ballard is similar in that respect, don't think he waould be any use up front on his own. Under Tonda, wew only seem to play 2 up if we are losing or if we have a few injures. I would have like to have seen Ballard back at Saints, but I don't think he would suit us, unless we went 4 4 fucking 2 !

Could be a good fit, and Larin would be there to deal with any language problems eh !

Not surprised that it has all gone quite on transfers. Solak has public stated that he wanted Larin, Peretz and an alternative number 10 ( Dobbin) . He also said that any other buisness would depend on outgoings . So for nobody has left, other that the free transfers. Hopefully, BBD and maybe Archer and Edozie can be offloaded soon. Sugawara will take longer, as he is probably still on a post world cup holiday. Likewise, Ross Stewart will be waying up his options on a beach somewhere, but needs to make his mind up soon. Rangers and Cetic have signed their main sticking targets, Hearts have a big vacancy, but are already out of the Champions League, having lost their best 2 players and manager, so I think Scotland may no longer be a good option. If Rogers is worth over 100M then he is deffo worth 30 M. I had Rogers in my fantasy league team for a few weeks and he did nothing. It would not suprise me if Charles got more goalsand assists than Rogers this calander year.

The BBC summary on the News this morning dissed Oyarzabal because he is a one club man, and Sociedad only finished 10th last season ! As if that makes him a bad player! It is also worth noting that Sociedad also won the Copa Del Rey last season and so qualified for Europe. They spent the last month of the season on the lash!

Don't think he played in the game up there. I was impressed with the lad who scored their goal , Stamenic. He ran the game and we only got our goals after he was taken off.

If we had envoked the one year extension Ross would have got just what is in the original contract. Saints missed the date, the lawyers spotted it and now he will be a free agent, meaning a decent signing on fee wherever he goes. He may well decide stay with us, who knows? He will have offers I am sure, but Saints gambled that we would want to free up his wages if we got promoted. This has back fired. Personally, I would have extended for a year. He has a good brain on him, his movement is streets ahead of Archer and Armstrong. In the first half of the season all our strikers were waiting for crosses to reach them. Ross's goal at Leicester was the complete opposite.

As others have said previously, it is a very bad year for this to happen, when we had the core of a team that could at least be competitive in the PL and a good manager. Peretz, THB, Charles, Jander Scienza and Larin could have been built on, now they will all be off. Maybe not as good as the Fonte, Scheiderlin, Lambert, Lallana combo, but a with much better keeper. They would probably all have left if we lost on Saturday anyway. I still think there may be a case for keeping Tonda and putting him on a written warning. He is gulty of something that is completely normal in any other league in Europe. He is a very good manager, and people will get over it. Biesla is remembered for transforming Leeds, not for spying on every other team in the Championship. If West Ham want Downes then swap him for JWP and some cash. Get rid of all the keepers, unless Peretz doesn't get a better offer. We will probably loose a lot on Ramsdale. In an ideal world he could go to Bayern as back up. Offer Bree a new contract, he has been great since he came back. Let all the other out of contract players go. Extend Charles, to put his price up, extend Ross, because he is very good at this level. Sell Edozie, unless he wants to extend. Sell Sugawara. Sell BBD and buy Ballard back.

There always have been negative fans about . Three of us moved our season tickets from the West to the East stand because we were fed up of the abuse that Paul Rideout was getting, just becuase he wasn't as quick as Rod Wallace, or as good in front of goal as Shearer. Before that , I stood with a mate up the Archers. He always stood in the same spot. He warned me that there was a bloke there who spend 90 minutes slagging off Steve Williams, my hero at the time. Brains of a Rocking horse was his catch phrase. The game in question was at home to Norwich. In the 2nd half, with the score at 0-0 Williams picked up a square pass from Keegan, set of on a mazy run that beat 5 Norwich players, before he curled it round the keeper. I gave the Williams abuser so much stick, I was lucky he didn't flatten me ! As I said, there have always been people who berate players, often with no real reason, but the internet has made it far worse. At Christmas, I didn't like any of our team, apart from Leo. That has all changed now!

It is ridiculous. There are no games in England on Sunday afternoon, it should be played then. Any game that could go to extra time and penalties kicking off at 8 pm is just mental. How the fuck are people supposed to get home ? 2pm Sunday and everyone can have a pint afterwards and then stroll back to the station
