I gave up and checked wiki, no to the first question.

Nobody will guess in a month of Sundays so as a hint; his most famous moment in a Saints shirt did not involve scoring or assisting a goal.

Definitely wouldn’t have got it without the clue. The other names that came to mind as having a famous moment at Saints not involving a goal or assist hadn’t played at a World Cup (Prutton, Puncheon, Osvaldo).
