sadoldgit Posted Sunday at 11:18 Posted Sunday at 11:18 (edited) There doesn’t seem to be a theatre thread so here we go. We saw Paranormal Activity at the Marlowe in Canterbury last night, on tour after a run in the West End. Excellent stage production with clever effects and proper scary. I am a bit long in the tooth for horror stuff nowadays but it did the trick for the Halloween period and genuinely has you jumping out of your seat a few times. It has a run in the Mayflower Theatre ,Southampton in early January 2027. Highly recommended. Edited Sunday at 23:39 by sadoldgit
badgerx16 Posted Tuesday at 19:41 Posted Tuesday at 19:41 (edited) Couple of weeks ago we went to see A Murder is Announced, a couple of months ago we went to the RSC's travelling production of Hamlet, which transposed the setting to the Titanic. ( How far back are we allowed to go ? ) Have been a few times to Stratford for RSC productions, the show I've seen most often is Jesus Christ Superstar - have seen 4 different presentations through the years, starting when I was at KES and we had a school trip up to London to see it. Have seen many musicals at Blackpool Grand Theatre or the Winter Gardens when one or other of our kids have been playing in the pit. Edited Tuesday at 20:06 by badgerx16

Saw the stage show in the West End when it first came out, and going to see it again next year when it's on in Plymouth. Edited 1 hour ago by trousers
