NickG Posted 14 March, 2009 Share Posted 14 March, 2009 If the points gained in the next 8 games is the same as their last 8 games by each club the league table will be Watford 62 Derby 60 Blackpool 55 Norwich 52 Plymouth 51 Saints 50 Barnsley 48 Notts F 48 Charlton 34 Proves nothing I know! trousers Posted 14 March, 2009 Share Posted 14 March, 2009 How would it look if the form in our remaining 8 games matched our form in September, October, November, December and January?
Nexstar Posted 14 March, 2009 Share Posted 14 March, 2009 Charlton can forget it. Forest are dropping, badly. Plymouth, saints and barnsley are wildy inconsistent.
NickG Posted 14 March, 2009 Author Share Posted 14 March, 2009 not good! just did it to see whether anyone was looking like being a late addition to the relegation battle! Think Watford and Derby are clear now but any of others still could go - although if Blackpool beat us they will start being confident.
70's Mike Posted 14 March, 2009 Share Posted 14 March, 2009 hope this is not the start of threads where we cluch at straws because if i was manager of any side playing saints in the coming weeks i would put 10 behind the ball, soak up our limited presuure and hit us on the break and 3 points could be yours
NickG Posted 14 March, 2009 Author Share Posted 14 March, 2009 why clutch at straws, its still very worrying but would not shock anyone if us, or any other there (except Charlton) survived
NickG Posted 14 March, 2009 Author Share Posted 14 March, 2009 lowest 5 in that list are at least 3 without a win, whoever gets a quick win can easily pull away.
St Marco Posted 14 March, 2009 Share Posted 14 March, 2009 Whats the form table/projection looklike from the last 3 games? Because those 3 wins seem a long long way away now. We are not playing anything like that anymore. If we re-create our last 8 games results we will be down for sure. 11 points from 24 will not be enough, especially considering we need 3 points just to haul our ass out of it already. If we do that then get 8 points from 21 on offer i can't see us surviving.
Saint Benali Posted 14 March, 2009 Share Posted 14 March, 2009 Whats the form table/projection looklike from the last 3 games? . 2 points every 3 games means 0.66 points a game. So times 8 games would mean a total projection of 5 points. Think as you say we will be relegated if we repeat the last 3 games.

We have gained twice as many points as Plymouth Notts For Barnsley Charlton all only 1 point from last 3 games
St Marco Posted 14 March, 2009 Share Posted 14 March, 2009 current form over last 3 games? We have gained twice as many points as Plymouth Notts For Barnsley Charlton all only 1 point from last 3 games Last 3 games for the teams Forest = 1 point from 3 games. Meaning 0.33 points per game. Times 7 = projected 2 more points from next 7 games. = 43 points. Plymouth = 1 point from last 3 games. Meaning 0.33 points per game. Times 7 = projected 2 more points from next 7 games. = 45 points. Barnsley = 1 point from last 3 games. meaning 0.33 points per game. Times 10 = projected 3 more points from next 10 games. = 43 points. Norwich = 6 points from last 3 games. Meaning 2 points a game. Times 7 = projected 14 more points from next 7 games. = 56 points. Saints = 2 points from last 3 games. = 0.66 points per game. Times 8 = projected 5 more points from next 8 games. = 44 points. So if the last 3 games form wise follows through to the end Saints would survive by 1 point. However think we have to be honest in that chances of the other teams staying as they are is pretty low. But i would take it for sure if someone offered it right now!
