Ed Rooney Posted 2 April, 2009 Share Posted 2 April, 2009 Why do we show in bid situation, i know they said they were speaking to prospective buyers last night and hence the delay this morning on any announcements but the 2.10 announcement was released at 15:40 today http://www.londonstockexchange.com/en-gb/pricesnews/prices/system/detailedprices.htm?sym=GB0007922114GBGBXAIMI0792211SOO

SimonRichards Posted 2 April, 2009 Share Posted 2 April, 2009 I was called earlier regarding SFC in bid situation. I'm sure this is due to the the 'prospective buyers'
Ponty Posted 2 April, 2009 Share Posted 2 April, 2009 It actually means we're 'open to offers', not that there are any bids.
Made in Southampton Posted 2 April, 2009 Share Posted 2 April, 2009 It actually means we're 'open to offers', not that there are any bids. Are you sure? At the end of the day any company is open to offers if the price is right.
trousers Posted 2 April, 2009 Share Posted 2 April, 2009 I've never understood this 'bid situation' malarkey. It seems a pretty fine line to me. Surely we've been courting investment in some shape or form over the last 24+ months yet, a tyre kicker knocking on the door seems to be a good enough trigger for the boys and girls at the LSE to raise the 'bid situation' flag.... Made in Southampton Posted 2 April, 2009 Share Posted 2 April, 2009 (edited) Rule 2.10 Announcement (Southampton Leisure) TIDMSOO RNS Number : 0367Q Southampton Leisure Holdings PLC 02 April 2009 ? 2 April 2009 Southampton Leisure Holdings plc ("SLH" or "the Company") The joint administrators of the Company note the recent press speculation in regard to the sale of the Company. The joint administrators confirm that they are soliciting offers for both the Company and its main asset, Southampton Football Club Limited. A further announcement will be made in due course. This taken from ADVFN announced at 1539 today. But as it says I guess that the fact we have been on national maybe even international news means people have taken note and are showing interest. I choose to take this as a positive..................... I need this let me have it. Edited 2 April, 2009 by Made in Southampton
