  1. Indeed. If we end up doing the latter then nothing will have changed in our recruitment strategy, despite the much heralded upheaval in recruitment personnel. Please, let's have quality over quantity for a change....
  2. The worst thing about that is the misalignment of the pattern between the top of the shirt front and the shoulder panel...
  3. "Rasmus is still CEO of Sport Republic, but we understood that he should move to a different position, so he is mainly focused on Goztepe. "He is my personal advisor on transfer windows because I think his knowledge of structure, negotiations, contracts and everything is valuable." Bugger... ☹️
  4. Ergo, in tune with most posters on here...
  5. Extra strength kitchen roll probably the best bet...
  6. Beer still under a fiver (just about) here in deepest darkest Devon
  7. As a kid I used to live c.5 miles from Broadmoor and every now and then we'd see Jimmy Savile jogging around the streets on the way to/from school... Ah... oops... Probably need a totally different thread for that one...! (True story btw)
  8. Denis Wise on a plane flying back from Rome c.1999. Sat in the row behind us. Chris de Burgh on a flight to Malta c.2015 (not exactly a footballer but he's an avid Liverpool fan, so sort of counts... ) My uncle at family gatherings (he used to play for... ahem... Portsmouth... 😲)
  9. The Saints badge on that looks a little too small to me? (Compared to normal)
  10. Actually, the fact it appears they used the full length of the runway, attempting to take off at the last possible moment (hence the plume of dust that can be seen) is equally odd. Too heavy maybe?
  11. Yeah, fair point. Contrary to what I saw earlier, it turns out they used the entire runway anyway...
  12. If flightradar is anything to go by, it looks like they started the spool up about a third of the way down the runway rather than taxiing to the far end of the runway. Therefore, it wouldn't surprise me if they underestimated the length of runway required, which would be based on the weight of the aircraft, amongst other factors.
  13. Someone give Farmer the 'told you do' medal he craves, FFS. 😉
