  1. If you get a pint of Gower Gold in the Greyhound Llanrhidian and see Saints win - you will have a very pleasant day indeed.
  2. The first Saints game I ever saw was a 2:2 draw against Burnley where Tony Byrne scored one of the goals along with Channon. Obviously the memory is very vague but a lifetime later I have reason to be thankful to Tony for a lifelong obsession. RIP.
  3. The rugby will definitely have an affect on the traffic in the tunnels at Newport and Severn Bridge. The egg chasers generally make a day of it and are settled in the pub 4 or 5 hours prior to kick off. In fact many will arrive early to watch the France v Ireland game on pub TV.
  4. I would recommend getting off M4 at travel south to Siemens Way. There is a Virgin Media call centre on the industrial estate and various car parks available for about £5. Park in one of these and there is a footbridge over the River Tawe walk along the river path - past the new training ground and you will see the stadium. You also arrive at the away end so no problems say 10 minute walk. If you want a pre match pint try Frankie and Bennies and there is a "beer tent" usually next to F and B's where services is quite quick. Although choice of drinks is limited. Getting back you will get back on M4 relatively quickly using the reverse route. Hope this helps.
  5. I work in Port Talbot with a few Swans supporters they are saying there back four is worse than ours with Chico / Taylor / Rangel and Vorm out with Gary Monk playing. However they did reluctantly admit that Monk had an excellent game last week. Also Dyer will not be in the starting eleven.
  6. I sit at work next to a Swansea City fan who is not very complimentary about Nouble. No issues here if he plays on Saturday......mind you he said the same about Jason Scotland.
  7. I've been told by the boys at work that Lee Naylor is the worst Left Back in the division and is only playing as Cardiff have four players injured.....including that French block Rudy.
  8. No 1 Oldham, difficult place to go and get a result. No 2 Yeovil we knew it was too little too late but fun any way. No 3 Bristol Rovers Cup good fun in the rain.
  9. All my Cardiff City mates say Warren Feeney is supposed to be a decent player.........but none seem to have seen him play. I guess he is either injured or out of favour with Dave Jones.
  10. I went to the Zenith Systems Cup final years ago and would imagine this is similar. A good day out but a second best to a proper cup final.
  11. I went to that game with a mate......seem to remember Kerry Dixon scored twice and the PA announcer could not get the subs names right........it seemed funny at the time.
