Normally 10 years for a testimonial isn't it? In which case next summer would be a decade of service for Kelvin - I hope the club offer him one he deserves it.
I know we want to play football and keep the ball for more which arguably you don't need out and out pace in the team. However, when teams don't let us play we need a plan B which should be some pacey wingers to get in and behind defences. Puncheon would did this last season and to let him go and not to replace him is a bit silly I think. Hopefully we can get a pacey right winger in.
JWP, Gaston and Osvaldo were positives. Lallana back to his best, but Lambert looks isolated at times. Glad di Canio didn't get a win, nasty team but the worst thing was the ref - god he was awful although one of his mistakes was to our benefit - he should of sent Osvaldo off but as yellow wasn't a yellow it evened it out
Watched a stream of the game. Not really sure how they can say we where dire? First half we dominated, second better. Great goal and the relationship of Clyne and Punch gets better each game. Luke Shaw will play for England in the future top performance. Kelvin did well when called upon. Loved the chant to Jason Roberts, don't like him as a player seems to just expect free kicks all the time. Hope Lallana's knee not too bad and onto the next one. COYRS
Liverpool will be a big test for our squad, but Reading and Sunderland are huge need to win those. Fair result in all hindsight but unbeaten again. Clattenburg was crap on his return gave Lambert nothing
Someone earlier hit the nail on the head, stupid mistakes, stupid starting 11 and Guly stays on. Least we won't be in bottom three tonight unless Norwich produce something stunning. So hope we are still within touching distance come January and get some defence or a defence coach.
