I passed the Saints team coach on the M25 on the way back and it was literally bouncing up and down, so I think the players enjoyed it almost as much as I did!
Just wondered if there was likely to be any organised protests against Sports Republic's woeful mismanagement of our club? I am too old, disorganised and mild mannered to organise anything myself.
There was a chap walking from the ground to the station after the game shouting loudly at passers by about how he had been supporting Saints for 50 years and how rubbish we were. It was a bit tragi-comic! Anyone on here!?!?ππ
I was living in London at the time and left before the Horne goal I assume to make sure I caught the train back. So a mixture of elation and being gutted I missed it for me!
I saw the U21s up there a few years ago in what is now the Papa Johns Trophy. I regularly visit Cambridge as I have a very good friend who lives there. Some great characterful pubs especially if you like real ale.
You will be hounded out of SaintsWeb for comments like that!π Fwiw I agree with you (although he did let a ball run under his foot out of play just in front of Ralph!). I also think all our new recruits look good, especially Lavia. We obviously need another striker, not necessarily to replace Armstrong (whose confidence looks shot) but possibly to play alongside him.
I counted 46 again for them. I appreciate Wikipedia can be amended by pretty much anyone but this looked fairly accurate to me (but very happy to be proved wrong and that it is 33!) :https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Portsmouth_F.C._seasons
