Why did we only sign him on a 4-year deal - almost guarantees he’ll be gone in 2 at most.
Salisu too was only four years.
Do we only offer 4-years for some reason, or do they prefer 4 over 5 so they are less likely to get tied down?
JWP is a great free kick taker, probably in the top 2 in the World right now, but still a way to go to be considered greatest of all time. Beckham is still ahead right now, and the best ever , I think, is probably Juninho Pernambucano who scored over 70 direct free kicks in his career (JWP is on 12 in the league, and a handful more from cup games)
Not how I remember it. If you read this from the club it sounds like it was all about Koeman from Alderweireld's point of view. (I can't imagine we would have got him otherwise)

No player has scored more than 5 free kicks in a prem season (Beckham and Laurent Robert). JWP is already on 4 for this season. Which is only one less than the rest of the league combined.
I’m frustrated but I don’t think it’s as dreadful as most on here seem to think.
Yes you should be able to beat 9 men, but the pitch was dreadful making passing hard. We were unlucky when Ings hit the post too. Redmond was ineffective, but we lost because of the defensive errors more than anything else.

Interesting that people are taking note of us not just playing well, but the differences and innovation between us and other teams.
