  1. They'd still rather pay to watch Man U than Bournemouth probably...
  2. That will definitely happen.
  3. To the tune of Glory, Glory, Hallelujah/Man Utd/Tottenham Hotspur: "Do you want to play a friendly? Do you want to play a friendly? Do you want to play a friendly? You can keep all the cash... AGAIN" Or the straightforward "Shall we raise some cash for you?"
  4. Good news, binned off the Stereophonics on Dec 2 so you won't have to listen to my whining about not being able to go.
  5. Anyone would think he was being sarcastic.
  6. Didn't go to any early round JPT games in L1 then? Torquay and Charlton were AWFUL. I think Northampton in the League Cup in 2009 (which also happened to be Lambert's debut) was pretty bad too. Also, the couple of games I saw from the Kingsland Centre in 2002/3 were pretty bloody awful, but I think that was proximity to the Northam compared to usual. As a weird aside, when I was checking who those JPT games were against, I also saw that we lost at home to Swindon 3-0 in defending the trophy, despite having 7 future (and 4 past) Premier League players on the pitch at some point. Only Dan Harding and Ryan Dickson played and didn't also play in the Prem. And they lost 3-0 at home to 9 Swindon players, Charlie Austin... and Vincent Pericard.

Seems more likely it was some kind of "remaining contract" settlement which prevented him needing to sign another new deal and the club needing to manage the PR around that from everyone thinking it would mean he'd stay longer.

    ...and Lovren, too.

Mmm, I don't think what Tottenham did made any difference once we'd said he and Rodriguez would not be sold.
  10. Do you really think we'll struggle to sell out a quarter-final against Liverpool?
  11. He's looked pretty decent playing (theoretically) alongside Wanyama and doing a lot of the shuttling and ball-carrying between defence and midfield, probably the first time he seems to have found his role for Saints. We certainly shouldn't need Wanyama/Romeu double-DM lockdown against a side in the bottom 4 - though it did work even in front of a much weaker back 4 last night and we still scored. I think I'd probably pick Clasie though, he has to get as much game time as possible in matches we should win anyway*. *learned that one from Jamie Carragher.
  12. Weirdly my ST, which hasn't worked by touching against the pad for ages and would only work by putting into the slot, decided to work on the touchpad last night... just as I was talking to a mate about how it didn't work. He had one of the paper tickets, which he'd prefolded - I'm guessing lots of people didn't do the folding bit before they got there.
  13. Segregation seems to be the difference in the figures.
  14. What time did you turn up? We got into the Northam at about 19:35 and there was practically no-one in the queue for the turnstile and half the people in the concourse there usually were.
  15. I can't even remember what they cost, I paid for it weeks ago and it hardly registered. I'll know exactly how much the bloody Man City game will be though...
  16. Same for Birmingham based Saints against Villa, Cardiff Saints when we played Cardiff - etc. That's no different to anywhere else, apart from Bournemouth being a bit closer.

It's because AFTER throwing his wobbler Schneiderlin accepted the situation, knuckled down and was one of our best players. Also, Schneiderlin had every right to ask why he was treated differently to Lovren, Lallana, Lambert, Shaw and Chambers who'd all been allowed to leave without issue - just not by throwing a twitter strop. But he spent 9 months fixing it. Lallana just sodded off and has spent far too much of his time since trying to be nicey nice to us and pretend it never happened. It must really bother him compared to the reception (eg) Lambert got.
  18. More pages and compact format it was spun as on the OS. I actually asked if it was still £4, not that I ever buy one. Fairly sure a lot of people are not buying one just because of the ridiculous size of the thing, it's a pain in the backside to carry around.
  19. Nicely played.
  20. I do hope their "1" is either in the first or last minute.
  21. It was like an "outside heel flick", pulling the ball from just behind him.
  22. That was Romeu then. Perfectly weighted.
  23. How have we got this far and not mentioned Wanyama's air shot in his own 6 yard box followed by what appeared to be hysterical laughter that he'd got away with it?
  24. From the Northam after 20 minutes I could only see two blocks at the back of Itchen 4-ish which were empty, that's either comps or unsold hospitality. There were LOADS of empty seats all around the ground at kick-off, but they all filled up except those two blocks. Obviously couldn't see the areas next to the segregation.
