1. How about a nice floral number? They look to be the same kind of fit as last season but don't hold me to that. And if you REALLY want a figure hugger, get yourself a matchworn.
2. Even though it clashes with the home shirt, it doesn't clash with Newcastle or Bournemouth so seems to make sense. Hopefully they'll sneak out an actual launch this time with plenty of time to sell it, too. It won't clash with Brighton or West Brom as mentioned above though, they've both got blue backs and the red will be different enough. Huddersfield won't clash with the black away either.
3. I'm unlikely to grow out of it in the next 16 years but you never know, if everyone follows Nike's path there will be literally no difference in shirts year on year by then. FWIW I spent £160 on numerous items of training, leisurewear and goalkeeper stuff today, buying things that would have cost more than £600 if I'd bought them at launch. Figured that with 6 more years of Under Armour I don't have to worry about the branding getting outdated for a good while yet. Took a few kit photos in the shop too. The away is definitely black not navy.
4. As with the sash, the only people moaning about "Saints wearing stripes" are just wrong. Both the sash and this are legitimate retro versions of shirts the club has worn. They're still not having that all red adidas thing though.
5. Preorders brought forward 2 hours for those who really can't wait, lots of images on the OS now, shirt is £50, there are women's fits in both home and away this year. Preorders come with a cartoon poster and free P&P in the UK. Suspect the club will be holding back on squad numbers again and costing themselves revenue as everyone who has ever considered shirt numbers will want the new ones but won't want to get burned with player sales. No idea if the fit is the same as last season but you'd hope so. I still think it's a pointless risk not to try it on before buying though.
6. No point doing it this season when we're retroing a kit which had black shorts. Doubt we'll do it next year when we probably go back to traditional stripes, so I think 2019/20 is your first chance.
7. The replicas are not the same fit (or even the same material) as the matchworns.
8. Think I'm going to have to concede that it's black and teal and not dark navy and light blue in any light. Still, home kit is excellent and will sell a shed load, including to me on launch day. If I have a criticism it's that they left off the white side panels which take it from being red with a broad white stripe to being arguably "striped". Away kit is still just weird to me. Will pick it up from SportsDirect when they reduce it and get the rest of it in April. No idea what the "negative" kit is meant to show, the reverse of the home kit isn't the same colour as the home kit or even the same way around as the classic away, and the colours of the away aren't really the same as the colours of the home either. I guess it sort of works as a concept, ish, or would have if they'd chosen the same patterns for home and away. But then change kits are supposed to not mix with your opponents, not diametrically oppose themselves.
9. Away does look to be navy not black, hopefully.
10. To remove all doubt, accidental upload by UA.
11. See below.
12. Graphic arse-up, it's Oxford v Cheltenham and was drawn as such. Draw not helped by: 1) Sound being inaudible on any stream 2) Facebook live feed cutting out after a few seconds (though the EFL.com feed pictures were fine) 3) Graphic mess up 4) Telegraph online live feed guy absolutely losing his sh*t, slating everything and anything and for some reason choosing to trawl twitter for the draw rather than looking for another feed. FWIW I switched off immediately after Newport were drawn at home to Southend, which will get switched due to pitch works giving me one of the 10-ish league grounds I haven't been to yet on a plate.
13. It wouldn't be Saintsweb if there wasn't a load of unproven sh01te being passed off as fact.
14. It's as important as the last appointment.
15. Yesterday's was released around 3pm-ish I think. No guarantee there will be another one today (but seems likely if the on-sale date is 30 June).
16. Safe bra (raised).
17. I have no idea why everyone's assumed it's coming today - the teaser was saying "the cartoon is coming tomorrow", and the cartoon, which has already been released today, doesn't give any indication when the next episode is. Anyway, someone's told me it's on sale on 30 June now, and pre-orders from tomorrow, so I'm assuming Part 2 is coming tomorrow and has the reveal. That also gives them two weeks to close the store, refit and hang a load of new posters outside the ground in time for the contracts to tick over on July 1 and preseason soon after.
18. No, most people couldn't care less. But for people who are on a kit post (even one on the Saints official feed) not to know by now is just strange. It's like... you're interested enough to watch this, but not to make the two clicks that will actually show you it? PS November is the latest this thread's started for 3 years.
19. And the Umbro 2009 and Pony Sanderson 1998 (with wrong socks for either season) which we're definitely NOT having, they have chosen three kits with predominantly white socks though. Also, you'd be amazed how many people HAVEN'T seen the design.
20. Probably because they've sold out of the old-style names and numbers - there's a new font style for the Premier League starting from this summer. You can always buy the letters on eBay and iron them on yourself using an iron onto a teflon sheet...
21. They've only got one pic to go on, same as us, and nothing to compare colour shades against - as an example the black adidas away with the big V neck seemed to be black and silver when the pics were released (though they also changed the shorts between the promo pic and the release, but anyway). So there's every possibility it's navy not black, especially considering the source. The away stripes definitely are not any conventional "green", though it may be "green-ish" or "greeny-blue". Also it makes little to no sense for the club to release another black away kit when we had one last season, and yet persist with the non-yellow argument "because everyone already has one".
22. Unusually I think there's a kernel of truth in this - we have a type (though it's not a lapdog). He appreciates the value of player data and technology, has previously shown an ability to integrate younger players into the first team, accepts he is expected to sometimes pick kids at the expense of short term results, accepts there are particular tactics and pattern of play of the overall club for the first team within certain parameters, is young (for a manager), untested in England and looking for a Premier League opportunity, only has to have a reasonable grasp of the English language and he has some European club experience at the latter stages. I somehow doubt "exciting interviews" are in the criteria.
23. I think it's called advertising.
24. Fairly sure it won't be out by then based on previous release schedules - they also don't have time to refurb the shop by Sunday for a launch, so it won't be this week - though I guess as we're not changing kit brand or sponsor they COULD just swap the stock, but they usually close the store for a few days. I'm going for June 30th, which is a Friday.
25. Both a grown man AND a shirt over hoodie wearer. Though last season I was a shirt under Saints Under Armour zip-through hoodie wearer after Xmas. I also couldn't give a shiny sh01te what someone else thinks of that. I'm also not really sure what's so weird about sharing a load of information about something plenty of Saints fans are interested in. The rest of it is just my (definitely weird) detail thing.
