Clearly "epicaricacy" is English. ἐπίχάριςκακός is a greek word.

I didn't comment on whether it was acceptable, I just pointed out it was impossible to know.

You've forgotten the guy crying to Abide With Me at the Cup Final in 2003 then ?

I had a great time last summer enjoying the fact we'd got ourselves back out of League One, so this season's success is a bit of a bonus. Shame about where we ultimately end up for being this good, but I guess we mostly enjoyed that for 27 successive years as well.

I'm quite fond of them to be honest, unique and perfectly good quality back then. It was only in the Championship the quality got a bit shonky.

Well, we all know the match isn't on tv.

This, like MK Dons, is a cheap expansion factored into the original costs - in Brighton's case by having laughably small ends when first built and gaps in the corners of the stadium, at Stadium:MK by having an empty tier up in the Gods that will only get filled for concerts even when they do put seats on it. Saints would have to destroy and rebuild and are unable to take advantage of economies of scale (e.g. it's a lot cheaper to add more seats when you're already adding lots of seats) and that's much more costly than just sticking some stuff in the gaps which were designed that way in the first place. Wolves, who are in a comparable position, have made expanding the stadium in vaguely ridiculous ways an art form. I remember on separate occasions they've * built a new stand behind an old stand * housed fans in a stand which was in line with the side of an existing stand * rotated their pitch * built a new stand in front of an old stand * just completed an expansion just as they get relegated from the Prem (last week). Anyway, this is still bloody boring.

I DON'T believe everything happens for a reason (any more, I used to) but you make a good point about how interesting the journey has been.

I'm sure some of the people in that pic are probably still in the same seats. Maybe Turkish could use it to start profiling people's usernames and they could all meet up.
-
It's Ricardo Gardener and Craig Gardner bringing you a live game from the Prem.

"Massive hilarious p1sstakery" was slightly sarcastic, though "mild amusement" would be understating it.
-
Guessing from the clear bit in the top of the stand roof and the boxes in the top left that picture is of the Chapel towards Itchen Corner ?
-
That's assuming they're not all on the pitch of course.

Can we have the same pic from the same seat at a similar angle on Saturday at about 2:20pm please ? I'm half interested in seeing if people are in the same seats and (hopefully) then we'll have a contrasting image. And yes, I'm aware he said he can't go... someone else could do it.

Yeah, pretty sure most of Liverpool disowned that one around mid-April 1989.

Not based on the last few seasons, as they haven't even launched the new kits until July. Last season's were both first seen in the flesh at the Liebherr Memorial Cup, the away kit was unveiled online just before kick off. I think that was August 4th or thereabouts, and you couldn't buy the home kit until the day before. The last time I can remember us wearing a new home kit at the end of the previous season was the last season at the Dell - though televised matches are not a reason not to do that anyway. I genuinely don't think the club realise how many people want to buy the shirt at the end of the previous season if it's a successful one, or just to take on holiday, whatever the reason it's always better for fans if the cost is spread out across the summer. I'm more interested in the away kit for next season anyway, as I don't know anything about that one.

It was certainly implied. I suggest face painting at dawn, or a "who can blow up the most balloons in 5 minutes" death match. Clown costumes compulsory. Actually, make it Saturday around 12:30, not sure I'm doing anything.

When you put it like that it'll be a piece of pee. We averaged 20,982 in 2009/10 in League One, with this season's 26,149 in the Championship you're clearly illustrating there are about 6,000 people who want to watch football in a division higher. Fat segregation will take care of the wet fannies, whatever that means.

They're making Pompey play their 46 matches from next season back to back before their next wage bill is due, showing the first one live and recording the other 45 just in case it compromises the integrity of the competition when they can't fill 11 shirts in August in League One. They're starting off with a combined League Two Play-off contenders side, probably could have planned it better.
